    Morning all!

Did a long workout last night, lots of rythm boxing, found the last flag on cycling plus, some super hula hoop and jogging. I was sweating like mad so I know I worked out!

Had a few naughty sweets but overall not too bad for food yesterday. back at work today so a nice, healthy packed lunch and am hoping one of my new games will arrive today! :D

  • Well just finished half an hour of 'just dance 2' and I'm knackered! Now watching 'Anne Diamond's war on fat' and trying not to think about food! I have to get there in the end, I can't be fat and forty!

Myself and DD use wii fit, and got just dance for christmas.

We find that just dance is great, after one song absolutely shattered but was great fun as well.

We are going to try and go on it everyday, I want to lose two stone by summer!:j

Hi All. Another New Year Wii Fitter here. Mind if I join in?

I've actually had the Wii and balance board for 6 months but, apart from an initial surge of interest, I hardly used it and was considering selling it on Ebay. But today I found some enthusiasm to give it another go.

I'm probably 3-4 stone overweight and very unfit. My diet isn't that bad (OK, maybe a little lacking in green things) but my problem is that I have a desk job and the only exercise I get is walking to the pub. My other problem is that I drink too much.

A couple of years ago I lost a stone and a bit on Atkins - but I found the diet to be expensive, boring and I put the weight back on (and more) when I went back on the carbs.

So, the plan for this year is to do it my sensible eating, really cutting down on the alcohol (esp beer :() and trying to do 30 mins cardio exercise a day. That's where the Wii comes in. I wouldn't have the nerve to go to the gym and I know it's any easy way of wasting money. I used to swim a lot and would like to do so again but I'm so out of shape physically. The last time I was in a pool I felt that I was dying after just doing a single length..

I have dabbled with Wii Fit and EA Sports in the past. I found Wii Fit to be more fun with EA Sports to be more structured - though annoying. I haven't decided which to use so any opinions would be welcome. I also don't have any specific target in mind though 6 pounds this month would be a good start.

Tonight (for want of nothing better on TV) I dagged the balance board from out under the sofa and impressed myself by doing a whole 30 mins of the boxing, step and hula-hoop.

The challenge now is to try to do 30 mins every day!

Well done Mrs Fatso, I bet that was a killer!

Welcome along Jan and Doshwaster :j

I didn't get time to do any Wii-ing tonight as I went out after work and by the time I ate dinner it was FAR too late :(. Have promised myself half an hour on Wii fit and half hour on my newly delivered EA sports tomorrow!

Will let you know what I think of the EA programme as it supposed to be more fitness than game!

OOOOOH I've got Sports Active on order, got home this aft to find a postie note saying a package too big to post was at the depot :T My OH picked it up for me and it turned out to be a book I'd ordered :o

Hopefully tomorrow it'll be here, but I'm interested to see what you think of it... it's got good reviews.

As for the Wii'ing, I haven't even plugged the thing in downstairs because I've been sooo busy.
Even if you stumble, you're still moving forward.
  • May I join in too? I bought my Wii fit over a year ago and have used it about 3 times!

I'm aiming to lose 1.5 stone (from 10.5 to 9) by June-ish, and am planning to use Wii Fit (ordering the Plus game this week) and cycling when the weather improves.
  • Hi all. We have a wii at home with balance board, and due to having had my third son, I was in need to be at home to lose weight, so I choose to do a variety of wii fitness games, the best one to which I lost most of my weight was biggest loser, it is really good. Highly recommended, but it is high inpact in some parts of the routine, and definately makes you sweat.

I am starting it back up from having just moved over xmas and eating all the chocs before I start, I also like the look of the new fitness coach that is out at the moment, the dance one, so no doubt I will be giving that ago soon.

good luck with the weight loss all x

That's pretty much the situation I am in. I'm the same height and I was fairly content, if a little flabby, at around 14st but somehow I've drifted over 16st in the the last year. The fright if my life was a few weeks ago when I almost touched 17st

Getting back down to 13.5-14 st feels like a reasonable mid-term goal although longer term I'd like to get to 12-12.5 st/
