Well I'm trying to catch up with last week's missed workouts. It does get a bit easier as you get used to it. Though I say that cautiously as sometimes the day-after aches are agony!

The only put-off I'm finding on the Sports Active is that if I need to pause to take a longer 'water break' I can only pause on the actual exercise screen once it's started. It's something pretty minor, but I'd like to be able to pause on any screen :o
If I need to take time to recover (I'm looking at you, jumping drills! :o ), I just don't click A to start the next exercise until I'm good and ready ;)

If only I had that option. The thing just continues relentlessly unless I pause it. Which I suppose is good.

Was browsing the workout groups. It's a shame that it not cross-console. Might start up a workout group on the PS3. Has anyone joined one, or understand how they work?

  • Hi all

    I haven't checked in for a few days:o

I completed my EA Sports Active 6 week challenge last Saturday, I'm having a well deserved break (also have an injury) until Sunday then will start the Sports Active 2 for the PS3.

Sawan82, if you want to hang on til next week when I've had a look at the Sports Active I'll figure out how to start a group and you can be my first (and maybe only) member;)

It was my birthday last week and I've pigged out for the week:o, I've got next week off work so the plan is to do 2 hours worth of exercise each day, that's the plan, the reality may be very different:eek:

That would be good thanks :)
I've been trying to catch up, so did a workout yesterday morning, had the morning off work. Mainly upper body. Boy, I feel muscles in my abdomen, didn't know there were any underneath the fat :o
I am doing it on easy, as I just haven't exercised in so long. But I'm going to try my best to carry on and then try it on a harder/higher resistance setting.
Probably try the nine week program once this three week once finishes next week.

Forgot to mention, I got to try Your Shape on the XBox with Kinetic on Sunday at a friends house. It was quite fun, especially the Virtual Smash game where you have to punch blocks at various points around you - all that Wii Fit and EA Sports boxing practice paid off, and I got alomst double the score of anyone else! :D The hula hoop was rather disasterous, though (again, just like on the Wii...) :o We also tried the rafting game on Kinetic Adventures, which was fun.

I wasn't really sure what to expect from the Kinetic, and was actually very impressed, especially as you can pick up a system with Kinetic for about £100 when it's on offer. However, the downside is you DO need a lot of space for it, unlike the Wii, as optimum range for the Kinetic is 4-8 feet, preferably 6-8 feet. And that just ain't possible in my little house (well, not without a serious rearrange and getting rid of my sofa, and even then it'd be tight), and we had a few problems in my friends much bigger room at times. So whilst it is indeed a very cool experience and undeniable fun, if you haven't got one already make sure it will fit! ;)

One thing I love about a lot of Nintendo stuff is it always seems to fit together so easily and securely - some other manufacturers should *really* take note!

I'm not so sure...set up the board last week and wondered why I was so rubbish at the skiiing, hoola hooping and and balancing compared to the times I had tried it at my brother's .....eventually worked out that I had the board back to front!

I have set a challenge on the DFW for March of using it 3 times per week & could do with some encouragement!
I have also set myself the target of -24lbs by April 31st 2011.

Would anyone like to assist/ join in? :undecided :T

I completed my 1st challenge on the Sports Active 2 for the PS3 yesterday and I certainly knew about it, many of the exercises are different from SA1 or More Workouts and the ability to use weights instead of having to hold controllers all the time is great. Currently using 1.5 k weights with it but will move up to 2 k in a couple of weeks, for the first time ever I can feel the muscles in my arms aching so it must be working:D
