Has anyone tried the Zumba, on Wii or anyother console? No classes close to me, so wondering what the `game` is like?

I was wondering about that too, I was looking at it the other day.

Also, does anyone know if it's possible to lose belly and thigh flab in less than a month? I go away at the start of may, and I'd like to get rid of my wobbly bits! I usually drink lots of coke and snack on crisps and chocolate, so I'm cutting all that out. But will I lose it faster if I exercise too? I think I read somewhere if you eat less calories than you're meant to and exercise, you don't lose weight and it just turns into something else? Or I might have remembered it wrong!
I only eat one or two meals a day anyway, so I don't think I've ever eaten the amount of calories and stuff that I'm meant to. But I've also never really exercised, I just sit on my butt all day and the only exercise I usually get is going up and down the stairs lol. :o

I have a wii fit and that biggest loser game thingy. My belly is huge, I look like I'm 8 months pregnant with elephant triplets!

i have zumba for the Wii - i would recommend spending the first week doing the step tutorial repeatedly (takes about an hour to do the whole tutorial)

however, i find it alot harder workout than the one i do at the gym - class at gym is 1/2hr zumba and 1/2hr yogalates, i can just about manage a beginners 3min warm-up and 4min routine on the wii

the biggest pain though, is once the remote is in the belt holder, you cant easily access the buttons, and if you so much as knock the remote, the B button presses on your hip, and pauses the game, or takes you back through about 10 screens, and putting it in and out of the belt, also presses on buttons

also there isnt any warning of what the next step is, so until you memorise the routines, you wont know what is coming up next. - could really do with something like the shapes on Just Dance to give you a clue

so far, i am enjoying it, and havent got bored, as there are so many routines to do - but having looked at the 'expert' dances, they dont actually look any harder than the beginners ones

i think it is worth the money (£22 at amazon)

My wii balance board has broken. :( It tells me to get off it when I'm not even standing on it, and then on the stepping game it doesn't reconise any of my steps. At first I just thought I was being more bad than usual coz I'm really not good at that game! So I tried the free step and I was stepping on and off and it didn't reconise any of the steps.

Is there any exercise games that are good that don't need the board?
Otherwise I guess I'll have to lose money pounds to lose weight pounds haha.

    Hi folks, newbie here!

I'm not looking to lose weight so much as maintain and not gain any, but I do need to get fit and tone up a bit, having a bus pass in term time does for me, I end up getting the bus everywhere rather than walking just because I can.

I have a Wii, but no Wii Fit/balance board. Are there any decent games I can get for some fun exercise that don't need the board, or do I need to hunt down the cheapest one I can find?

    Thanks!

Lizzie, it may not be broken. Do you use rechargeable batteries or a rechargeable battery pack in your board? If so, this could be the problem. Try ordinary batteries to see if that works.
    Fingers crossed! :)

Just got on again this morning and I've put on 1lb :(. on the plus side, last time i weighed in was 19th Jan..so while I've not lost (no surprise since i've not been doing anything!) I have'nt gained too much.

was thinking about getting just dance, as I think i'm bored with the fit plus...any opinions?
