Half an hour on the wii - bit of yoga, step and the longest jogging one. RE donkey vs concorde I wouldn't compare the wii to the gym but not everyone can afford to or feels comfortable going to a gym or even has the time to leave their house, and in regards to "go for a walk" yes I do walk everywhere aswell but surely it's better to do something than nothing, I can't go to the gym every day so wii is just for the days in between so I feel like I'm doing "something" which is better than just sitting on my bum watching tv :)

  • Day two - managed to get up and do 15 minutes before breakfast this morning, and another 15 this afternoon.

Prefer using my Wii as I can fit it easily around my other activities, and also my nearest gym is a 12 mile round trip (also means I can do first 15 minutes in my PJ's if I want to.

Saves me time and money, and i don't have to buy gym clothing.

You'd burn the same for an hours walk but this is more 'fun':)

  • Hi berrybabe

I've got the Wii Fit, Sports Active, Sports Active More Workouts and Your Shape. The one I keep coming back to is the More Workouts, it varies the exercises, lets you customise, has a 9 week challenge etc. It's the best one I've found so far. It's less than £7 at Amazon but you would need to buy the accessory pack (leg strat and useless resistance band). It also makes use of the balance board for some exercises if you have one.

Anyone know where you can get the leg strap & band from?

  • You can get the accessory pack from Amazon or Play. Amazon and Play are selling them for just under £15 (it's a bit expensive for a resistance band and leg strap) or you could try ebay, you would probably get the game and acccessory pack for about £12

I haven't taken to wii fit but love the Just Dance - really worked up a sweat and it was much more fun.

Will still use wii fit to check weight and will maybe use it one a week or so but I am not finding it "fun" and I have a slightly sprained ankle and have an aversion to being told I am crappy, I know that or I wouldn't be using the Wii would I :-)
  • Can anyone confirm that you can just get the Sports Active More Workouts and the pack with the resistance band and leg strap, but you don't need the original ea sports active as well?

I have nearly enough amazon vouchers to get more workouts & the accessory pack, just want to be sure before I buy.
