    Morning Campers!

I did another EA Sports Active work out last night even though it told me it was a rest day and then did super advanced boxing and super hula hoop for another 15 minutes.

Did my weigh in today and feeling a little disheartened :(.

In the past week I have exercised 6/7 days and really changed my eating habits and I can honestly, hand on heart, say I have tried really hard and have only lost 1lb. I've been tracking my calories on my fitness pal and am eating a max of about 1300 calories a day and am burning about 200 so not sure what is going wrong.

    :(

That maybe so, but your calorie intake seems rather low especially if you're working out too. Try taking in something smaller but with more calories - natrual, organic peanut butter is always a great way to get in clean calories and vital fat.

Calculate your BMR at http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/ and have a let me know what it says.

    Hello All,
I'm a bit of a lurker - I'm both a gym goer and a Wii owner, and I've found both to be helpful in losing weight.

    jtr2803 - please don't feel disheartened.
I lost a stone last year by keeping to 1300 calories a day - and I didn't go to the gym/Wii'ed as often as I should. I do admit that I experienced a couple of plateau's - staying at 11 stone 11 for a good 3 weeks, however if I sticked to the calories it would eventually continue to move downwards.
I think I ended up figuring that if I had a particularly 'good' week - healthy eating, exercising everyday - sometimes it took over a week for the effort to show.

    I hope that this helps.

Thats very kind of you Wootball :)

The site says my BMR is 1676.45

Having had a little think about it I suspect you are right, up until xmas I was eating quite a lot so I've probably halved my calorific intake since then...then the exercise on top.

Jody - :( I have had bad weeks like that wehre i feel i have done everything right and then not lost what i felt i deserved

Also if you are exercising as well as eating then you culd be toning up too and muscle weighs more.

No wii fit for me today! I felt so stiff this morning! I can barely move! Thats was 2 hours hard going exercise does! It will get easier. Hope to go on the wii fit tonight and do a couple of activities to loosen me up a little!

Thats interesting - I just did this and it says my BMR is 1510....would have thought that was quite high for doing nothing all day.....

    Hi Jtr,
Please don't lose heart. As someone said muscle weighs more than fat. I'm sure you will see a larger weight loss next week.
Also, exercising will be getting you fit and healthy so keep at it.

I had work this morning and knew I wouldn't feel like exercising when I got home so set my alarm 30 mins early and did 30 mins of Your Shape before work. Did cardio with arm strengthening today and it said I burnt 333 cals but it would have been less than that as I can't do press-ups!!! :o Think I'll do some ab work tomorrow...
 Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement :). I am determined not to fall off the wagon just yet! I have ordered a measuring tape from ebay so at least I can try and keep tabs on inches. I wasn't expecting to lose loads of weight this week but 2-3lb would have been nice. Perhaps I have done too much at once and will see the effects maybe next week?

A loss is still a loss I guess!
