I want a dog!

We've given our staffie milk occasionally and he loves it - makes him a bit whiffy at the other end though!!0

Interesting, as I was told and have read never to give MILK to dogs, is a shame because my dogs love it but stopped when I read that information as I don't want to upset the dogs tummies.
You're right about Cows Milk they can't cope with it but you can give them Goats Milk - which is similar to dogs milk (and people milk!). The tiny (really expensive ) cartons of Puppy Milk you can buy are Goats Milk
Glad both new fur babies are settling in - such a cute photo 0 0

thanks for all the posts about milk, I gave her some and she loves it but yesterday I rang the vets and spoke to the nurse and she said it is not recommended but you can give her cheese (?)
I thought as they were mammals then they could have milk, I will just stick to water and complete dog biscuits though as she is getting everything she needs from that.
She is now part of the family and is settling in a dream, we all love her to bits and cant believe how lucky we are!
Last night we sat on the floor together and had a cuddle while I brushed her, I brushed under her chin and around her face as she has a bit of a beard and gets it messy and she was closing her eyes and falling asleep while I did it! She even goes into her crate when its getting near to bedtime as if to say 'come on mum time for bed!' My teenagers are going to bed at a more reasonable hour as they know the dog needs her sleep! They were up till the early hours before and getting into a bad routine so theyve benefitted too. Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000 Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000

Wish Stella would do that. She has an aversion to a brush and we get the pearly whites if we go near her with one. That's my mutt in the picture above.0

just booked doggy into the vets next week for spaying I hope she gets on ok and will have time off after to nurse her to good health. Also looked into dog washing services but the dial a dog wash costs £28 so I might have a go myself, its just the trimming of her face I dont want to get wrong. My baby is a large breed so I can't get her booked in until she's had her first season. She's coming up for 9 mths...we are still waiting. Fingers crossed it'll be over by March when it warms up a little then I can stop worrying about it. I HATE it when a female dog is in season. All the female dogs I've known go loopy!Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Had doggie spayed today and guess what? She has already been done! This is the 2nd time this has happened to me with rescue dogs, why oh why dont the vets devise a national identity system of identifying if a dog has been neutered? It could be a simple universally recognised tattoo next to the scar.
Anyway, she is groggy and keeps nodding off while sat up and waking herself up when her heads drops down! I might sleep on the settee tonight just to keep an eye open for her. I feel a bit bad really but what can you do? If I hadnt have taken her then I would have risked pups so at least I know now.
Hope your doggie is ok dizziblonde after his op...Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000

there are many rescue people/animal lovers who have thought the same thing, i signed a petition a few weeks ago to try and get it so that vets tattoo'd them while they were still "out" for their op maybe in their ear or something as this would identify a dog as spayed and would also hopefully stop thefts of dogs for breedingDesperate_Housewife wrote: »Had doggie spayed today and guess what?
