Pollybear - that is awful. It must be such a shock for everyone concerned.
Vanilla - I got rid of all my fat clothes so I just can't afford to put weight back on. I have a very capsule wardrobe now
Dishwasher is done, need to get WM on.
I bought some very reduced onion sets and garlic at the start of December then of course the ground has been frozen solid or covered in snow since. Nothing to lose from trying to put them in today btu I suspect the veg plot is a mudbath.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Vanilla good luck, DP said I should do it the other way as I have stuff that is too small but I do hope to get back into it
Pollybear oh no that's awful
I can share a little good news, my cousin who lost his Dad 2 years ago near Christmas became a Daddy yesterday to a little boy. He'll be a great Dad I am sure, a new year and a new little life to start the year
I've done S&S bathroom and kitchen, cleaned up after last nights tea as I left it allwhen a friend appeared at the door this morning because they have just taken another friend to hospital, tummy pains so unsure what is up with him. Anyway DPs took friend back over to hospital and left his car here as the parking is hideous fees. Serves me' right for leaving it when I wasn't expecting people to drop in but usually it's so messy here I won't let anyone past the door which I did. I've emptied the dishwasher and refilled that, put a washer load in and folded what was dry. Played referee to DSs who've bickered since they woke up. Think that's about all so far
Need to vacuum next I think, and wipe sofas over which are smelling 'doggified'One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
a major event in 2004 meant OH(ex) became so depressed he was suicidal.
I know I don't need to explain and I have only been on this thread for a week (!)
hi skylight
i know you dont need to explain, and i also know it is very difficult to talk about mental health issues as many people just do not understand what it is like to live with someone who is ill with depression and it is often impossible to cope with and getting out of the situation is the only way forward for all concerned...
MY DH had a major depressive episode over 10 years ago and has made numerous suicide attempts, and got into debts etc and that is -partly- why we live on such a tight budget now - he is officially self employed (as that helps him to cope rather than being on invalidity) but he is often depressed and not able to work... I cleared the debts when i was working (before we had the kids) and we completely changed our lifestyle to become rural smallholders and basically dropped out of a lot of the pressures of life so that we could cope..
We now have 2 small kids and it is tough at times but fortunately we have managed to stay together .... but yes, people do sometimes judge and think - why do they not get proper jobs and earn more money - not realizing there are reasons we have chosen this lifestlye.. DH just could not cope working for an employer... too much pressure for him ...
anyway take care and good look with the move --
and now you know more about me;)

Just been having a nosy on the fb thread, so i've decided to completely clear out my wardrobe today. Anything to small is out and then i'll know what i actual have left. I'm looking forward to it. Today is about me getting myself organised, so i'll sort my handbag out and have a nosy through my shoes.
so it does work...
Vanilla - I got rid of all my fat clothes so I just can't afford to put weight back on. I have a very capsule wardrobe now
Sun is now shining here, so I need to get dressed and go out. Hopefully a bit of exercise will help me want to eat something other than pasta with creamy sauces. So I'm going to call my brother and see whether he wants to go for a walk, and if not, I'll take the glass to the recycling centre. Also need to think about how to reply to OH's new year text... at the moment I'm pretending that as its on my work phone I can ignore it until work starts again on Tuesday morning...
But first, I need to strip my bed and wash my sheets... they haven't been done for far too long0 -
Afternoon everyone
Grey and horrible here. Just back from a walk with the dog, and did actually notice a few shoots coming up... so there is hope for Spring yet!
skylight my son (aged 10) gets this- leg cramp we call it. He finds wearing socks in bed and having a hot bath before bed helps. He also knows where the hot waterbottles are kept and can fill them from the hot tap. We find his are worse if he's been exercising a lot, although it does surface when he's growing too.Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.0 -

Wardrobe now all done. :j:j:j Looks loads better and everything in it fits me now. So 2 bin bags to go, some i'll ebay as they where never worn.
Loads of shoes and handbags going too. I've kept 2 outfits that fit but have seen better days for painting and gardening.
Greenbee i must try on 5 pairs of jeans in the morning before i find a pair that will go past my hips. It's actual a relief to get the wardrobe done.
I think i'll go do hubby's next, he has loads of old clothes for (around the yard) which he never throws out. Bet he wouldn't even notice if they weren't there anymore.:rotfl:Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0
