    soappie - I have been doing a bit of family research and have just ordered my great grandfather's and great great grandfather's birth certificates :D I may need to pick your brains again at some point though (I know you're busy at the moment so no rush) as I'm still struggling with my grandmother's side of the family .......

    Feel free to sent the questions and the info through anytime - I can always fit you in as and when I need a distraction (which is quite often!) xxx

    Thanks sockdrawer - I'm posting this so I don't lose it again! I think I can say I have achieved another of my 101 in 1001 list :j

    2 blankies - I have one and my sleeping bag
    spare screenwash - got that plus oil, spare bulbs and fuses, foot pump, warning triangle, fluorescent vest jacket, first aid kit
    scraper - yep!
    spray on screen de-freezer - no but I have heated screens!
    several pins for making sure your screen wash scooshers are not clogged - yep!
    toasty-toes (the things you activate and it gives you so many hours of heat) - ??????????
    wind up torch - yep!
    £5 in change and make sure you have cash or a card for a hotel room if you find yourself stuck - always have my purse with me
    whatever car club membership - this is in my purse
    wind up radio - will investigate cost
    car phone charger - ditto
    Choc. bars / Musli bars - I have dried fruit and cereal bars
    packets of hot chocolate/coffee/tea/sugar - yuk!
    various games for kids (chargers etc. to go with those) if the kids are with you - no children!
    Hipflask of something warming - don't own a flask
    a camping gaz stove - don't own one!
    Several bottles of bottled water - I have one large one
    two old coal sacks (for traction) - errrrmmm ......
    tyreweld - yep!
    spare socks - yep, and spare set of clothes and a towel in case I have to stay up at work
    spare hats/gloves/I would now add wrist warmers - I have gloves, hat, shoes and coat
    a folding shovel - yep!
    Sunglasses - always in my bag

    ok good day flying wise
    hoovered, dusted and de grotted what I could get at in the pit my DD calls her room (she was out for the day, I went in to open the window and wipe the condensation off and errr got a bit carried away)
    I also hoovered all of the upstairs, tidied our bedroom, cleaned the bathroom, took down the Christmas tree and cards etc, did two loads of washing, tidied the kitchen and lounge

    good day diet wise
    I actually managed to stick to my SW green day and had loads to eat!!

    So tomorrow is indeed another day and I am tired so night all
    xxx

    Hex, We are no too far from Hadrian's wall so ask we can see if I can help. We are totally lost on the water situation. All the snow last year didn' affect it but this Winter we have had sub -15 temps for weeks.

    We just need to be patient
    Jojo rubbish timing to get a water leak from the boiler. I hope it is sorted.


    Weight loss wise. The FB group has helped me a lot. I have lost a stone. Since last New Year.

    Tooch and kaz Our tree usually stays up until 12th night. I am very tempted to take it down earlier.

    Soappie, hugs re the loss of your community member, it is never easy to know you will not see somebody again however you know them.

    Off to bed now, hoping it is dryish and sunnyish in the morning so that we can get some more wood to chop from behind the playhouse and find DS3's high bounce ball.

    I have been very naughty and watched the darts with DH instead of doing my list as I should be and have failed miserably - did enjoy the darts though, go Mark Webster yay :D
    I now have very bad sciatica for my sins :(
    Very early start in the morning now me thinks :)

    I weighed myself tonight after my bath, I think if I were 2 inches taller I'd be perfectly round. :eek:


    I've put on 1stone and 8pounds :o:eek::o

    Dagnammit, I now have to go on a diet, not my idea of fun, why do I like my food.
