Yes I usually grow some rocket and basil outside, but maybe I could do it earlier in the conservatory? Thanks Kaz

I'm not very green fingered. I once planted leeks in a grow bag.....:rotfl::rotfl:

Soappie - really sorry to hear your sad news - hugs

Well this is the first time ever that I have washed clothes, dried them and ironed them on the same day!! My ironing pile is back down to zilch - 2 days on the trot - if it never happens again at least I done it once

Toots - hope you are recovering and the reason you are not on here is because you are catching up on sleep or having lazy days - love and hugs

Good idea. I [STRIKE]want[/STRIKE] need to lose weight.
I want to stop smoking too, but need to lose the weight first? Thankfully I don't drink.

I've been doing that all day- Not losing weight, but I've not smoked all day..... until about half an hour ago then I had a fag and was like Jojo all the wrong words in all the wrong places! That nicotine is a hard drug! I sort of holed up in the bedroom all day, because there's no smoking in the upper floor (too dangerous) . I like to think I've risen above everything today and kept my sense of humour, :rotfl: however I've more avoided it than anything else! I have to say I feel so stupid! having stopped smoking for several years, started again in Italy, when we were stuck there during ash cloud thing. With so many people smoking around me, I suddenly felt the need after a meal, and before long, I was hooked again. Blah. I will be a non smoker again. (even if DH DS and assorted friends will insist on smoking in front of me!)
I joined the FB group a couple of weeks ago, and it's lovely how friendly people are. Had several friend requests and it's so good to put faces to names. x

Well, I didn't get as much done as I had hoped. Instead though I let the kids have their Gelli Baff. Who on earth invented that stuff????! They loved their hour in the bath but I had a minor heart attack when I went back in the bathroom. I expected dribbles etc on the floor; but not everywhere............

Played games with the kids, listed a few more bits on ebay and cooked fish for the cat. But I opened the kitchen cupboards and thought "Nah...." and made coffee instead! As for the 16yo.... any more strops like today and she is moving in with her father.

    • Dailies
    • [STRIKE]WM - It's the kids bedding today[/STRIKE]
    • HOTSPOT in my room that I didn't do yesterday
    • Get 16yo to do hers. Threats with total stuff loss tends to work.
    • Clear kitchen cupboards of food I won't use or out of date. Those good idea buys that are anything but.
    • Clear the freezer too. [STRIKE]I have loads of fish in there that I was trying but didn't like. I'll cook it though and have a happy cat tonight.[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]List my SC on Ebay. Yep - I'm sorry. I bought one last year but have never used it so its sat in my kitchen cupboards.[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Kids to the park after lunch.[/STRIKE]

    Morning everyone

oh, & I failed the ironing challenge. Hey ho!! ;)
Glad I'm not the only and I only had two shirts too iron that have been there a couple of months - should say I don't do ironing lol

I'm going to make more time for me this year. I schedule everything else, so am going to factor in something for me too. Must lose a bit of weight, but really I need to do more exercise. We had Just Dance for the Wii for Christmas, and although it's VERY funny, I'm not sure it counts as exercise :D guess it all helps tho ;)

I think the same about the Just Dance have hysterics watching hubby (well they do say laughter helps lose weight) but prefer the Wii FIt for feeling like I've done some exercise.
