hi,
got a load of purple tree decs off ebay really cheaply - baubles/tinsel/stars etc. as my tree is going purple this year (strange to say instead of next year!) keeping the browns for future use.due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:

Managed to pick up a few bracelets and rings for 50p each in New Look today. Will be ideal for my nieces. I also make my own jewellery so when I eventually get back into it I will make some more pieces.
I would love to have a go at making my own bath bombs but not sure what i would need or if it would be expensive.0 -
Love the tray's midnightraven, I might pinch the idea from you if you don't mind!
I have not had the energy to tackle any of the sales, I think by the time I get into town there will be nothing left!
Could anyone tell me the best time to start making chutney for pressies? I will have a few trial runs, but not sure how far in advance I can make it? Any recipe suggestions gratefully received also.
Never made a sock monkey but fancy having a go, I think my teenagers would like them.
Love this thread, I'm really excited about getting organised, is that mad!🎄The most wonderful time of the year 🎄0 -

There is a thread all about Sock Monkeys on here.
You can also make other animals etc.
I have made cats, cows, elephants, clowns and babies as well as a Postman Pat.

Mind if i join?
This year i intend to make it the best ever, 2009 i was very ill and fighting for my life in hospital, so very crap christmas. 2010 we lost my fil at the beginning of december andfuneral on the 20th so again another crap christmas.
I have ordered my vouchers with Park, 4th year doing this.
Save £15 per week as of April
Put £1 a day into pot
£5 per week on christmas savers card at Tesco
I come from a large family, as does OH. I'm one of 7, OH is one of 6 and there is a total of 21 nieces and nephews. So very expensive, plus our kids too.
I have bought
christmas cards
wrapping paper
christmas crackers
stocking fillers from hawkins
6 pressies from boots for various people
christmas craft making stuff as was reduced stupidly low
new decs which were very cheap
new lights as we want more this year.
I want to do more home made things, which will include personalised chocolate slabs as presents from the children. Hampers, christmas cake, and i want to try jams this year.
Does anyone have a recipe for diabetic jam?0 -

I hit the shops for one last time before I return to work. Had a lovely day with my sister and went to a clearance outlet and picked up some bits in the Henley store to put away for my nephew. Got a pack of 3 socks and a bag for £6 in total. I am quite please as he is at that age where he wants money but some pressies too but I hate getting him tat.
Hi Esmer - Not sure what the other ladies think but I think this is more about what we are buying too and im not sure how that would fit in with the other thread. See what the others think. Im very easy going and will go with the flow0
