    1. Current project you are working on?

The last thing I was stitching was a Mill Hill kit called Queen Anne House. Here's a pic of my progress so far.

    th_QueenAnneDec24th2010.jpg

    2. Favourite project (either stitched or awaiting to be stitched?)

This is a tough one. I loved stitching the Dictionary Of Bras.
    th_DictionaryofBrasFramed.jpg

I'm also so proud of my Titanic picture. Can't decide...can I have both?
    th_LaurawithTitanicpicture.jpg

    3. Your favourite cross stitch magazine (nb do you subscribe?)

I used to love Cross Stitcher, but it's new look is not my thing at all. I use Tesco clubcard voucher to subscribe though, so I'll carry on with it until it runs out.

    4. best stitching gadget?

My GORGEOUS scissors! I love them and couldn't be without them. They're limited edition Gingher scissors that my DH bought me as an anniversary present years ago. :D
Close second is my R&R clips frames. Fab product!

    5. french knots - hate or love ?

Hate! Will avoid and use beads unless I REALLY can't avoid doing so.

    6. Favourite theme to stitch (i.e. pooh / tatty ted / HAED etc)

Depends on my mood. I do like stitching 'fun' things-like the Dictionary of... range and something with a daft slogan, but I also have a lot of nice John Clayton scenery kits.

    7. aida or evenweave ?

I do love evenweave, but if a lot of the background fabric is hidden, I use aida as it's quicker to count. I have started swopping some fabrics in kits if it's easier to stitch it on evenweave. For those who have never used it-give it a go! It's a lovely fabric to stitch with.

    8. favourite needlecraft supplier ?

Sew & So are usually a good price & are very quick to delivery, but you can't beat a good 'proper' shop (except the Sew & So shop in Stroud! It's rubbish compared to their website and I don't bother to go there anymore). My fave real shop is The Nimble Thimble near Oswestry. Worth the trip-especially if you like American style designs. Lizzie Kate, Waxing Moon, etc etc. Heaven! :T

That was fun! Thanks Flat Eric for posting these!

sewandso although I wish they would mprove their search facility - wish you could look back at previous orders (like with amazon). also would be good if they did some sort of loyalty scheme. Also with their free prize draw - wish it was £15 off anything rather than item limited to £15 or less.

Why don't you contact Sew & So giving them your feedback? Nothing to lose & they might change something if several people suggest things. £15 off anything for winning their comp would be far better (and potentially get them more money).

Not a great pic really but definitely a great project. The first really large project I've done (only Tatty Ted / Lickle Ted type things before) and very special to me because I chose the design for my husband but during the course of stitching it he left me, so I finished it anyway as a testament to my determination and ability to get on without him. It's also a great reminder of all my friends and support on here. (and yes I did get it on the wall for this Christmas, even though I thought that might be a bit painful. I feel really proud of myself every time I look at it.)

Well done for getting it up on your wall for Xmas! :T You *should* feel proud of yourself & I like that it reminds you of your online friends here. :grouphug:

Will try this again - managed to close application down and lost all I typed - still getting used to this new computer. Had a wee bit of a blue day yesterday - trying my best to get over it.

Are you feeling any better today, sweetcarer? Thanks for posting the pic of Sam. Hope she got some yummy titbits on christmas day! ;)

I placed my Sew & So order last night for the Christmas Calories chart http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&do=search_results&Prod_Code=70275&ww=1 and I also slipped and bought this too... http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&do=search_results&Prod_Code=47135&ww=1 ooops! I really should stop buying so many christmassy designs. But they look so good in cross stitch...

Ruth I love that Pair Tree design. I've not seen it before but have just spent a couple of minutes finding all the pairs in the design. Oooh I really want to stitch it now...

My Giraffe and baby is coming on really well thanks to my efforts last night, I won't be working on it tonight though as I need to sand and recoat the bathroom floor. If I get that done then I need to sand the walls of the box room ready to paint it hopefully tomorrow. I'm really pleased with house progress since hubby moved out though. It's looking great if I do say so myself, I've been able to clear out lots of the pointless clutter too.

    3. Your favourite cross stitch magazine (nb do you subscribe?)

I don't subscribe - I buy one if I like the look of one of the projects or the free gift!

    4. best stitching gadget?

    Not sure

    5. french knots - hate or love ?

Really not keen - I haven't mastered these yet, despite trying for years!

I think my new year's resolution will be to quit all facebook game applications. I waste so much time on them, especially a couple of the zynga ones so if I successfully quit then I'll have loads more time for stitching.
Oops I've got four that I've started recently... I went for ages without having any on there...

    Need a Cross-stitching game...

I got the DMC set of threads (all colours from the range) so really excited about that! Hopefully I'll get my stitchy bug back so will be able to put them to good use :D xx
    You lucky, lucky person!

I didn't get much cross-stitch stuff, a small Country Companions booklet with some threads, so that won't technically count towards my UFOs as there is no aida. ;)

    1. Current project you are working on?
    This Piglet Cushion:

(Haven't done much since a couple of weeks ago, due to stitching my snowflakes cards.

    2. Favourite project (either stitched or awaiting to be stitched?)
Okay stitched one has to be this:
    n582306970_1541238_7327.jpg

Waiting to be stitched is this and I've been waiting a long time to start it, but I'm being patient and getting the kits out of the way that I had before I bought it:

    3. Your favourite cross stitch magazine (nb do you subscribe?)
I don't subscribed, but I do frequently have World of Cross-stitch given to me.

    4. best stitching gadget?
    Two really:
    My Stand and scroll frame
    Pake Needle Thread Organiser

    5. french knots - hate or love ?
I don't have a strong feeling for them, but I am good at them though.

    6. Favourite theme to stitch (i.e. pooh / tatty ted / HAED etc)
I've stitched a lot of Winnie the Pooh stitches and am trying to do more 'grown-up' ones now on.

    7. aida or evenweave ?
Most of my stuff is done on Aida, but having tried Evenweave recently it will depend on the work I'm doing in the future as to which one I will choose.

    8. favourite needlecraft supplier ?
    Sew and So
