  • Hi
God I feel like I have fallen off the face of the planet recently! Just about got through the 40 odd pages that I have missed!!!

Haven't done any cross stitch at all since I got my squirrel pic finished for my mum for christmas.

My friends baby is due next week and I want to create something for the new sproglet. I am thinking of doing the baby's name in margaret sherry alphabet - the only problem with this is that I have to wait until they have chosen the name before I start and last time she took 2 weeks to decide!!!!

Really want to achieve more cross stitch wise this year! Definitely want to get my home sweet home cushion finished and all the other small projects that are half done! Then I feel a mammoth new project is in order! I love the cut thru stuff but am yet to find anybody who needs one in their life that I can stitch one for!

Will hopefully have some progress to post re: the cushion soon!!!
    Keep on comping!

    2018 wins: £600
    2019 wins: £186

Yeah She's fab. http://www.alscross-stitch.co.uk/ (oooh I CAN post links now!)
She's very good. She doesnt charge for consultation and will try and chart ANYTHING!

I've just had a look and decided to get a chart of my wedding bouquet. It was so beautiful but too expensive to preserve.

...Another project to add to the ever growing list!!! :)

At lunchtime I was on internet and found this.

    http://www.chcross.com/

They way I have read it - you get 26 gold coins if you register with them, then after that you can use them.

For 5 gold coins you can download to kiss and hug pattern from Emily Peacock.

    http://www.chcross.com/viewthread.php?tid=9884&highlight=emily%2Bpeacock

I have managed to register and download these files - was quite easy. They are zip files.

This gives me coins for recommending them -

    http://www.chcross.com/?fromuser=sweetcarer

I hope it helps all the Emily Peacock fans out there.

    Have to go ......

    See ya later

    sweetcarer ;)

PS Think I know what I am doing next cross stitch wise.:)
:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j

I have finally managed to start again with the backstitch on the Me to You sampler, my fingers are aching from having to force the needle through random points on the aida.

i've long-ish nails (sometimes) and dont like fimbles anyway as i cant feel the fabric but last year on a sewing blog someone mentioned 'cut off' thimbles - just the round bit, no top.

I couldnt find one anywhere then at the start of Dec i popped in to a cheap charity shop (you know the type where they sell anything) and they had lots of timbles including a home done cut off one! i was really pleased and it fits my middle finger perfectly. the lady was more than a little puzzled i didnt want any of the ceramic decorative ones, just the little beat up odd one.

know anyone good with a hacksaw?!?
