i'm having a day at home as a man came to audit our electrics today... lights on and off, odd beeping noises and the front door mostly open for 3 hours! id hoped to do stitching but couldnt concentrate so cleared out a bag of random paperwork.

Sweetcarer-I'll never tire of seeing that design. I'm so, so pleased that you didn't bin it and it came up looking as good as it does. :)

I almost thought the forum was going down today - its sooo slow and took me 5 attempts to log in (just wouldn't recognise my password had been entered).

It just CANNOT go down on Saturday...... I cannot stitch as I have my DS to look after, however i can keep up with the thread while he is around - humph. would like to say YAY I can use facebook instead but am in hassle at work for daring to write something that my so called 'friends' have told the manager about....... so now I am waiting to see what action HR want to take. GRRR I am SOOOOOOOO cross I am beyond angry!!! Then to top it off I just made sandwiches with yesterdays leftover crusty rolls that had gone hard and chewy and weren't nice at all.

I managed to make a start on the birth sampler yesterday, lets just say I am SOO GLAD I blew it up to A3 size!! Hoping to get a bit more done tonight.

Anyway better get back to work....... can you sense the enthusiasm.......
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

That's a good idea using soluable canvas on a exisiting cushion cover.. never used it myself..but my mum has when she x-stitched some logos onto some polo shirts for my step-dad.. looking forward to seeing finished article!

On another note.. cheating a little with upcoming new bundle of joy for friends.. going to do a nice card for them as I have found a kit I had AGES ago.. can dress up the card bit instead.
Realised have another wedding to think of... this one is March this year (oops!) It's friend's wedding so have ordered a nice modern sampler from sewandso to do in the sale today.. so I think I have sorted my Jan and Feb challenges!

Ok - just to get you all drooling over and sharing your favourite kits....

Q - If you were given £100 to spend on stitchy stash only, what would you buy?

With my imaginary £100 I would buy:

    Fall Fairy (£47.97)

    'Candlelight' by John Clayton (£24.47)

    'Waltz' (£22.75)

    Edinburgh Castle Chart (£6.68)

It's a couple of pounds over, but would be worth it lol

  • OOOOO I like that idea!

Not that you should be encouraging me to buy any more

I have half of Too Pooped, half of 100 Cats and all of my cut thru windmill, as well as a crate or two full of other stuff I've npt even touched.

And I love the dog cushions in this month's cross stitcher i can see my self buying the stuff for that next payday too.

    Argh...

hehe, i ordered my new laptop yesterday, so no more freezing and general old computer rubbishness (when it arrives :))

That is a very good question!!

I only really have 1 on my virtual wishlist at the moment and that's the Rainbow Peacock that's mentioned earlier in the thread.
Thinking about it I also loved the Max and the Adirondacks that Mags stitched (I think that's what it was called) There are also a couple of kits that feature butterfies that I love but have no idea what they are called.
I would also like to do a HAED at some point in the future, they are stunning designs.
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
