ooo t4mof I keep seeing those stockings and have been tempted to do them for my DS and step DS and DD.. I've been looking at US sites for some as it's almost £20 more expensive to buy in UK even with taking postage in mind:eek:

But my sis does live in Ohio so thinking for additional moneysaving.. I could save more postage by getting them to her and when my mum pops over there on her yearly visit she could bring them back in her suitcase ;)

Sweetcarer, thanks so much for the kiss and hug charts.. seen them this morning in my inbox :A

    :T good plan! :T good luck!!! :T

great minds think alike! thanks for saving me looking for a link! :)

That was a good price. I've lusted after an OTT light for years but can't justify the cost. Think I'm wander down to our new Hobbycraft tomorrow.....

I've had a tabletop one for about six years (still on the first bulb) but wanted a floor standing one for the other end of the sofa.

And thanks to you ladies I absolutely love the idea of doing a HAED. I'd never heard of them until I came on here, but having had a look - wow! I'm really into fantasy so they are perfect. The trouble is there are so many great designs. I think I'd have to go with Dragon Riders though.

I could sit and look through their designs all day. I'm not so keen on the strange looking fairies they have, I prefer the more lifelike designs :)

I seem to remember someone on this thread ages ago starting 'dragon riders' but can't think who it was.

    Btw...never thought of a QUILLOW before - I want one now!! :rotfl::rotfl:

hmm, with my imaginary £100 I think I'd complete the set of DMC threads so that I know I can start any project immediately and only need to replace what I use. I might also buy a stock of evenweve but probably not as that's more of a project specific thing.

I haven't got any charts or kits that I've particularly got my eye on at the moment, but I've got an idea what my next project might be - I'm thinking of using some software to chart http://www.shutterstock.com/pic-2453608/stock-vector-funky-background-with-leaves-spiral-vector.html or some other funky design to make a cushion. I have this idea to make a cushion cover and put a folded blanket inside, that way I can keep a snuggly blanket on the sofa but without it looking messy. I suppose I could use any leftover money from that imaginary £100 to buy fabrics etc for that project.

i love the pillow blanket idea that is great

t4mof that is quite a list

I want far too many kits. Dimensions I like 3 of the snowy scenes from the gold collection, but I can't pick a favourite. Although I suppose if I had £100 I could have them all :D I also want the Mr Men letters and numbers that Bothy Threads do.

And thanks to you ladies I absolutely love the idea of doing a HAED. I'd never heard of them until I came on here, but having had a look - wow! I'm really into fantasy so they are perfect. The trouble is there are so many great designs. I think I'd have to go with Dragon Riders though.

I'd better try and finish what I've got first before I worry about that though! I've only managed 20 stitches today. I can only sew in the evenings for the next couple of days and with the poor light in our house combined with the dark blue aida my eyes are struggling badly.

sweetcarer- that design has cleaned up so well, thank goodness you didn't throw it.

i have a mr men alphabet

Try and put a white pillowcase or teatowel on your knees, it makes the holes easier to see..xx

I'd like to do all the children in the family (5 at the mo with my sons, 1 nephew and 2 nieces) a stocking but might prove to be too much money.

I don't have these stockings but do have abo0ut 12 other ones...I am planning on stitching them for presents this year. My hubby is getting a new phone next week and I will get photos up then, don't have a printer so can't do it before then...xx

that was me :o i tried to do it on the 28 count and it did my eyes in  i still have the threads so im hoping to make a start on it again this year but i have got to get 18 count fabric first :D
  • hmmm what could I do with £100 just for stitching (I dreamt that I won £50,000 on a scratchcard last night - unfortunately woke up to find its not true! :( )

Well my mum wants me to do this for her next http://www.mariescrossstitch.co.uk/products.asp?partno=HSJCWO923

I would love to get a stand as the small hoops do get on my nerves after a while!

Am trying to find a cross stitch which is a sort of list of all the Mr Men but am so far proving unsuccessful - think I may have to design my own so the dosh could be spent on aida and threads! Do love the Mr Men Alphabet sampler as well! Who knows maybe even one of the Cut Thru designs - not sure which one love them all!!

Just need to wake up and find that I have won the lottery now....
    Keep on comping!

    2018 wins: £600
    2019 wins: £186
