hmm, with my imaginary £100 I think I'd complete the set of DMC threads so that I know I can start any project immediately and only need to replace what I use. I might also buy a stock of evenweve but probably not as that's more of a project specific thing.

I haven't got any charts or kits that I've particularly got my eye on at the moment, but I've got an idea what my next project might be - I'm thinking of using some software to chart http://www.shutterstock.com/pic-2453608/stock-vector-funky-background-with-leaves-spiral-vector.html or some other funky design to make a cushion. I have this idea to make a cushion cover and put a folded blanket inside, that way I can keep a snuggly blanket on the sofa but without it looking messy. I suppose I could use any leftover money from that imaginary £100 to buy fabrics etc for that project.

Q - If you were given £100 to spend on stitchy stash only, what would you buy?

Oh *louise* look what you have done to poor t4mof! Come on then, let us know what's on your wishlist.
  • I appear to have actually spent half of my imaginary £100 tonight!! Bought a daylight floor lamp in Hobbycraft on way home from work
In my defence I was going there to buy it and managed to get a £5 off voucher off their website so was really only £45 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Used it this evening and it was money well spent!

    Here we go then:

Would like to do this for my parents as they have just bought a property in Florida so thought I could do this for their UK house:

    and then this:

    57487h.jpg

for their US house to remind them of their other home.

And on the map theme for my N.Yorks based in-laws:

    58809h.jpg

    And then my Christmassy/wintry ones:

    57579h.jpg

I'd like to do all the children in the family (5 at the mo with my sons, 1 nephew and 2 nieces) a stocking but might prove to be too much money. And

    15469h.jpg

A couple of Lowry's because DH is a fan:

    11508h.jpg

    11509h.jpg

And then these just coz I like them:

    59547h.jpg

    59549h.jpg

    28836h.jpg

Luckily I don't have a large stash (only 3 kits plus the one I'm working on) so they'll keep me busy this year and next year, when I'm debt free, I might be able to afford some of the above :D

  • t4mof that is quite a list

I want far too many kits. Dimensions I like 3 of the snowy scenes from the gold collection, but I can't pick a favourite. Although I suppose if I had £100 I could have them all :D I also want the Mr Men letters and numbers that Bothy Threads do.

And thanks to you ladies I absolutely love the idea of doing a HAED. I'd never heard of them until I came on here, but having had a look - wow! I'm really into fantasy so they are perfect. The trouble is there are so many great designs. I think I'd have to go with Dragon Riders though.

I'd better try and finish what I've got first before I worry about that though! I've only managed 20 stitches today. I can only sew in the evenings for the next couple of days and with the poor light in our house combined with the dark blue aida my eyes are struggling badly.

sweetcarer- that design has cleaned up so well, thank goodness you didn't throw it.
  • elliep - you need a quillow!! http://www.straw.com/quilting/articles/quillows.html

t4mof - I LOVE the map designs..... I've got one of the UK if you ever want a ;);) also the lake district one and a 'shires' one (nottingham, derby, sheffield etc)

I have a new data cable now....... but my laptop still doesn't recognise it is connected to my mobile... it does work as you can see it charges it....... any ideas???? have tried to connect with pc studio no luck, told it to just look for memory card - no luck, any ideas???? tis a samsung if that helps.

I will try and vertually spend my £100 tomorrow.... dont think it'll be tooo hard :D
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

I'd spend my £100 on this chart from Scarlet Quince and the necessary evenweave & threads.

    http://www.scarletquince.com/pat.php?pat=VEY003

and the same for this Mystic Stitch chart

I spend many happy hours on both these websites !
