Thank you! #70 is perfect :D

I hadn't seen that one, but out of all the ones I have seen, that one looks like the one to buy! I could easily put the lettering in the top left corner! Will have to have a look around to see where I can find it at the cheapest price

Evening girls - just having a bit of a catch up with you all.

:T What a find 23rd - hope you make a return visit. I dropped some stuff off at one of our local charity shops today but there was nothing to be had in the way of xstitch. Trying to convince family they would like a trip out to a car boot sale on Sunday - cos you never know what you might find :D

I'm going to have to get my xstitch stuff organised into some sort of order while it is a relatively small stash compared to most of you and if I get into good habits now - who knows one day I might get there :D

Hope you manage to save your magazines sweetcarer - it would be such a shame if you've lost them after so many years of collecting.

Love the Animal Falls pic chicky - I keep going back to it and each time another animal seems to 'appear'. Hope you've had a good day for your anniversary.

Looking forward to seeing your wizard ejs. One of the projects I was thinking of doing next (a xmas one) used three strands - thats a new one to me. I did say a xmas project but what I didn't say was - which xmas :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well here's the update pic I've been promising - have made a start on the final page of xstitching :j. Pleased to say that the cold has just about gone and I'm just about back to normal - well as nornal as I will ever be. :D

ejs how frustrating that is. hope you are soon back to where you were.

the titanic im doing is a dimensions one its got red symbols and lots of what you describe different colours threads stranded together and full and half sitches

Thanks Mrs M! If I had started your titanic think it may have taken me even longer than the 14 years!!!

Done a bit of stitching today but had loads of cake decorations to make and didn't want to get the edible glitter all over the black aida - it gets everywhere!!! Did some before we went away and DH found some in his cup when we used our travel kettle for the first time ever!!!

Okay, ladies, bit of a mini poll for you:

You have a full kit {chart, thread, aida, needle} that you don't want, for whatever reason, what do you do with it? eBay is not an option because when you put it on there it did not sell, even if yours was the lowest price :o

    A) Try to swap it as a full kit?

    B) Keep the thread and aida and make a copy of the chart just in case you change your mind and try to swap the chart or just keep the chart?

    C) Other?

I only ask because I have this kit, and it's just not something I would stitch, but it didn't sell on eBay. And to be honest, I don't think anyone would wanna swap for it either lol And as my DMC thread stash is pretty non-existant, I think the bst option for me would be B???

Well...after the joy of finaly finishing that dratted Autumn Reflections design I was really looking forward to starting the MP Tenby Harbour kit.

First off - I've already had to soak out the washable pen lines (because I marked one square up as 10 x 11 by mistake and of course that messed up the rest of the marking....

Now I'm getting frustrated because there are lots of similar symbols and it's very difficult to tell some of them apart. I've already had to unpick several sections. One part has been unpicked three times....(I must have had a brain-fart!).

Who else was it that's done this kit? Did you find it hard to tell some of the symbols apart?

Surely they don't need to use identical (but different sized) symbols...surely there are more than enough to have 55 different ones?! I've been cross-stitching for 20 years and I don't recall getting this frustrated with a kit before.

    And breathe.....:rotfl:

Haha, I did that on my Old McDonald kit... if you look really carefully, you'll notice that the horse's nose is a tiny bit longer than it should be :D I wasn't changing it :)

Bummer though, still at least you noticed before you started sewing!

Umm..no...I was half way through the first page! Still - a brief dunk in cold water hasn't done it any harm :rotfl:

I've actually sent a short email in to MP's website just asking if they could consider using different symbols for each colour.

Good idea, I will leave it a while and try one last time at eBay closer to Christmas.

As for the eagle kit, I had a good look around...

Found it at Amazon for £47.49
    £19.16 + P+P at Overstock.com
    £37.95 + P+P at Stitchability
    £40.46 +P+P at Sew&So

    Just to name a couple....

However, I found it on eBay, from America, for £9.79 plus £6.93 for P+P which in my eyes is a brilliant bargain!

ETA: It has been ordered and paid for. The seller only had one left and it was the cheapest on eBay so I figured I would grab it while I could at that price!
