I do this with mine:

Basically, they're in an Excel spreadsheet with what the design is, which mag and which issue (all my mags are in magazine files in order). I highlight them when I've done them and I only put ones that I think I might one day do.

I tried cutting them out but there kept being one on the back of the other and it was too messy for my OCD

Hi, my name is Soulie and I am a bad bad bad member of the Cross Stitch Cafe :rotfl:

It's been months since I last posted!!
Been so busy with other things, but I have spent the last 3 days, reading, far too many pages that I dare to mention, and catching up!

I haven't touched my Corrie kit in probably the same amount of time, but I am itching to pick it up and get it done, as it was my birthday today and I have lottsa pennies to spend and I want to buy a new kit

However, the kit I have in mind probably doesn't exist lol
I have in my mind a specific 'scene' and I know anything less just won't do!
I want to do an eagle which is in flight, maybe a mountain on the side, a bit of sky, a field of yellow flowers with enough room to put the following text: "Once I was a lamb, playing in a green field. Then the wolves came. Now I am an eagle, and I fly in a different universe."
Maybe the background could graduate in colour, getting darker towards the top? Or maybe it could just be nice and sunny.

So if anyone has any ideas?? I would love to hear them, as all the ones I have found so far, just don't cut it with me :rotfl:

I did get a cross stitch program for my birthday, so the last resort would be to make my own, but I want the hard work already done for me really!

And I will check back to see what my last Corrie update was, as I may have another to post yet, before I start stitching it again!


Oh... just remembered, please can I have a number? I promise to check in more often LOL Oh and I know it's picky, but I would really love an even number, as I am kinda OCD about odd numbers - they are evil yanno! {Unless it's the numbers 7, 17, 27 and 78} Thank you!

welcome back soulie and happy belated birthday.
how very very spooooky.... no 70 was the next waiting for a person.

am soo tired (my eyes are still blurry). tis my anniversary today - going for a meal (£10 leisure voucher curtosy of shop n scan and a BOGOF voucher from my friend) and cinema (curtosy of 2 cinew0rld vouchers from consumer pulse) tonight. am not convinced i'll keep my eyes open then HE has made it perfectly clear what he wants once we have got home (and picked the kids up from babysitters house and put them iin their own beds). have tried telling him I'm constantly shattered (6.30 am gettup every morning - neither kid seems to want a nap - then bed by midnight if I'm lucky) so when tinywiggle woke at 6 today i said to him "do you want to get up an hour early (he's up at 7 for work)..... his reply was "no" and back to sleep!!!!!! must be lovely to pick n choose what bits of parenthood you fancy!!

had all good intentions of getting the backstitch done on this page of princess last night so i could at least put it away with full pages done for a little while,.......... but i got sidetracked and before i knew it it was 11pm!

23rd Spiral - what a bargain!!! I agree with some of the others - straight back there with an offer for the pile of them!! With my 'to do list' I have a spreadsheet of the ones I want to do and where the charts are then I have the satisfaction of turning the line bold and addng DONE to the end column when I'm done!!! (How sad am I!?!). I keep my mags in storage boxes in our bedroom.

Looks like being the most dificult one I've ever done too. The chart has red and black symbols, half titch, mixing 3 strands and allsorts.

i read the chart wrong when I picked it back up as well (for some reason the chart was photocopied in black and white - that was stupid of me!). Ended up spending Tuesday night unpicking every stitch that I'd started in Feb 2000 then just as I'd undone the last few I realised I'd made the mistake that night and actually had just unpicked a few weeks worth of correct stitching - argh!!! :mad:

the titanic im doing is a dimensions one its got red symbols and lots of what you describe different colours threads stranded together and full and half sitches
