PAP - hows the gorjuss coming along
I finished something else last night.........
Have a good weekend, well a good Sunday anyways, everyone
I have nearly finished it after picking it up last night :T Just a little backstitch left which I will finish after tea. I love the finished design although I am kicking myself that I lost my mojo in the last two weeks, but hey ho.
I really love that cupcake, its always nice when you change something and it turns out much better than the original design.
Louise, lovely designs, love the dragonfly one. I hope things are going as well as they can0 -
Wow louise those pics are fab well done

I have had a relatively lazy day but haven't managed any cross stitch:( (yet....)
I've just shut the blinds to avoid some cold callers who I spotted walking round. Lo and behold 5 minutes later and my bell went but I ignored it - I just hope they don't call back. I should really get one of those signs I suppose - that politely says, cold callers don't knock. I stunned one into silence once, he said that he had done one of my neighbours a good deal with their internet, could do the same for me blah blah blah, when he asked how much I currently pay, he was a bit speechless when I said zero.... He was soon on his wayDon't get me wrong, I have nothing against cold callers but I just feel intimated and uncomfortable and wouldn't feel happy buying something at my door and what with these horror stories on watchdog rogue traders where people won't leave etc until you sign up......
I've been thinking of starting the emily peacock letters that have featured in cross stitcher. what colour aida do you think would be best to stitch them on ? I was thinking (bright)white ?0 -

Or black?
Or match the background colour to the room you want it in, and change the colours in the design as appropriate0 -
Lovely designs Louise, are you making them into coasters, cards or framing them?
I'm thinking of getting matching wood frames for them to make them a setI've just shut the blinds to avoid some cold callers who I spotted walking round. Lo and behold 5 minutes later and my bell went but I ignored it - I just hope they don't call back. Ohhh I hate cold callers! Never used to have much a problem until we moved here three years ago and they are never ending since then! One of my neighbours has a sign up which basically says 'We are happy with our gas/electric/internet, don't want to change our religion and don't give details out at the door so please don't knock' etc etc.
They make me feel uncomfortable as well - especially when it's charity doorsteppers. I just explain that I won't give my bank details to a stranger on the doorstep - their smiles soon disappear!! As for gas / electric - I don't knwo how many have turned up proving they are the lowest supplier etc, so I have switched then 6 weeks later they bump up their prices!!:mad:
Ah well......
....I mentioned last week about a chart I had received in the post but there was just the cover and no chart inside - after emailing the company I had a message on my answerphone from Faye Whittaker asking me to call back so she can check which chart the problem is with so they can send out a new one, will sort that tomorrow :TCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. they do my head in too!! I find "i'm not interested **slams door in face** works pretty well.
What REALLLY bugs me is we don't use our front door (have a sofa wedged behind it) so have a sign on front door asking all callers to go round the back. TWICE this week people have knocked on front door and i've heard them moaning we weren't answering when we are clerly in..... sorry i am not turfing the babies off my lap to open the back door and walk round front to tell you to bog off!!
Am in a foul mood tonight....hubby who else... won't get into it but lets say the last txt i have recieved (and ignored) is from the pub saying "please don't leave me"......obviously he doesn't care enough to tell the people there with him that he can't play pool and needs to come home and try to fix his marriage!!loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0
