Im too mad to write it out again, sorry, but its here if ur interested, feel bad for winging but not explaining. Sorry. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=45194314&postcount=249
just read it - that's appaling. Are you suppose to be in work tomorrow?? if not i'd ring them in the morning and tell them:
a) you are concerned they have sent the letter to the wrong person - give your reasons
b) you had made plans and want your 5 days notice.
I've got a formal disciplinary to look forward to on my return to work.... ohh gooody. as it should have been done before my mat/ sick leave. top that with the fact i may need to re-interview for my own job and woop am loving my maternity leave!!
Maria hopefully you should have e-mail.
a little update:
hubby got in at 10.30 (actually not too drunk) with a 'peace offering' of pizza (was so glad i'd cooked myself tea 2 hours earlier!!!). he then proceeded to go too sleep while i got tinywiggle up and gave him his midnight bottle. at 6ish (i think) tiny got up again (he'd been up at 3 as well) and hubby was up (in the loo) so i thought "yayyy he'll sort him out" ... eventualy gave up and went and got him - hubby went back to bed.
he must have got up before the boys and taken monitors downstairs as next thing i was being woken at 8.30 with a cup of tea... ohh joy thanks for the lie in (its his day off).
he then 'looked after' tinywiggle while i played with babywiggle outside.
had to take tiny for his 3month jabs so he helpfully took babywiggle with him to the shop on other side of town so i could do drs and food shopping.
then i cooked tea, washed up, put kids to bed (2 and a half hours for tiny to go down) etc while he went to pub at 6.
then tomorrow hes at 1 dentist in morning, 1 in pm so we're in for another day of him doing naff all!!!
sorry boring rant i know!
have just finished watching the 1st part of witches of oz (sky anytime/ syfy).... tis a really different take on the wizard of oz story and worth watching if you've nothing else on.... just gotta remember to sky+ the 2nd half.
right time to get out the palace and dark choc toblerone..... when i've put the washing away.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
23rd - Surely they need to tell you there is a problem with your sick days before they send you a letter? And if your last sick day was 3 months ago and there was a problem shouldn't it have been dealt with at the time - 3 months later shows there is not a constant problem doesn't it? Perhaps they have sent it to the wrong person....?
Anyway don't panic just make sure you know the facts as accuratly as you can - write down anything you want to say to make sure you don't forget/get confused in the heat of the moment. Hugs xx
Chicky - I hope your hubby sees sense soon and that things start to work out for you. Hugs for you too xx

this kit that I saw listed on ebay recently has been relisted as it didn't sell. garden sampler
I do really like it but do you think the price is justified ? Its one of the larger newton kits but the material isn't included (is missing) so all I would get is the chart and the threads and the colour picture? but to me £7.50 plus postage seems steep
hugs all particularly chicky0 -
23rdspiral do you have a formal sickness policy at work? If so is there anything in it that says how long after being off sick they have to take deciplinary procedures - I think in ours it has to be done within so many days of returning to work after sickness. Also, have you been given chance to take someone in with you? I know we can't help in this respect but we are here for you to "sound off to" later if that helps. Good luck.
Chicky - sorry things are still not looking up.
Maria and Observer - I have put the box away safely and will look for the aida and threads. If I can't find it I might see if I have the threads and have a go at finishing it anyway.
Flateric - don't know if £9.50 inc postage is too dear but I do like it.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

FlatEric I've also looked and I agree that it appears to be discontinued. I did manage to find it on an American site for $49.50 but can't find the link now - managed to go off on a tangent and start looking at pirates for my nieces 21st birthday. Her birthday is September 19th - National Talk like a Pirate day.
If anyone has any ideas on what I could do for her I would be grateful. To give a bit if background, she enjoys surfing when she gets chance, is training to be a physio and drives a saxo. She likes the fact that her birthday is National Talk like a Pirate Day.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

23rdspiral - sorry to hear that, as was said earlier, write everything down that has happened so far, note any faults in their procedure in case you need them at a later date. It would also be handy to have on you a copy of your contract with the sickness policy as well. Also note down any dates you have been sick that you can remember. Sounds like they are being really awkward with you but I'm sure you wil be fine xx
Chicky - Bluddy men eh? I'm sure there's somethign in their brains that's triggered a couple of months after a baby is born which makes them incapable of making themselves useful! I'm sure you will have him sortd out very soon
Faye Whittaker called today re. my chart problem - she couldn't understand what had gone wrong and apologised and said there would be a new one in the post today.:T

Are you looking for a small pic to make into a card or a bigger picture?
I remember seeing some pirate stuff in one of my magazines, will have a look tomorrow.
Also, when you're writing the card, use this translator:

Louise thanks for the translator. I'm looking for a small design that I could make into a card or small picture. She's only has a small room so can't do anything too big. Might also buy some material I've seen on ebay and make her a bag to carry some files. The material I've seen is black with white skull and crossbones.
Off to work now - running late as now 8.3 and not dressed yet, son needs to be in school by 9.00. Where does the time go?Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j
