glad you are feeling more positve now 23rd and hope things are better for you chicky
Catchooky love the nursery design it is beautiful
chicky - i have also been trying to help my daughter with her alphabet ect so when she starts school she has a good foot hold to start with there are some great work sheets on the internet to print. i also did the alphabet in bubble writting (each A4 sheet into 4 pieces) and got dolly to colour them in and have put them on the kitchen wall, we then do sounds and names of letters we have been doing about 2 weeks and she only gets stuck on one or two now, so i would recomend that idea if you have got any ideas i could nick i would apprechaite it,
made a start on the teachers thank you cards and have done 3 out of 8 and been making good bye presents for dollys friends so the princess palace has taken a back seat dont think i will ahve it finished by the begining of the summer holidays but never mind its not the end of the world,
hope evryone is having a good day

I've just started making thread organisers (strips of cereal boxes with holes in the side!) and putting pink/purple left over bits on one, DMC down one side and Anchor down the other, with numbers next to them, along with a card for greens, one for reds etc.0 -
Hi everyone!
Just realised that the message I posted a couple of nights ago has gone missing. Grrr!
Can't remember exactly what I wrote, but I know I wanted to say to Louise that I'm sorry to hear the news about your Dad. You know we're all for you if you need us.
I've been so busy the past few weeks. I am now a member of the local gym as I have decided that enough is enough & I need to lose weight and get fitter. I have lost 3lbs in 5 days, so that's a good start. I am doing several gym sessions a week-followed by swimming if I get the time. I also intend to do 2 water aerobics classes a week, but I can't do the next 2 sessions as I'm away. My body is sooo achy today, but I am determined to change. I'm fed up with my back going so often & not feeling comfortable going out in public in case someone makes a nasty comment.
Last week I went to seeing The Cube being filmed. Yes, that meant I was in the same room as the lovely Philip Schofield. It was a great show, so I'll post when it's being shown on TV.
I have finally finished the Somebunny toy that I was stitching for my godson-to-be.
It was tricky to stitch on because the bib doesn't come off. My hands & wrist really hurt after a while. Hope he likes it! The Christening is this weekend.
Catchooky, that design is lovely! Well done. :T
I'd better get going. I have some birthday presents to sort out & wrap, then off to the gym again. Take care, everyone.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
12/12/12 challenge-[STRIKE]Season's Greeting Newton's Law[/STRIKE] Christmas polar bear-finished on time!
Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
Catchooky, that is a really lovely design, I love how colourful it is
Ruth_honey, Somebunny is so cute, I agree they are tricky to stitch, I did one for Emily when she was born
Good luck with your weightloss, I joined Weight Watchers and have lost 8.5lbs in 2 weeks :T I had previously lost 4 stone with Slimming World but my terrible emotional eating meant that most of it has gone back on
I never throw any thread away, if it's too short to stitch with I put it in a jar and when it's full I use it as stuffing or I put it outside when the birds are nest building so the ickle baby birds are cosy :rotfl:
I have done some more of the teddy, I can see the end now which is keeping me going!Cross Stitch Cafe member 710 -
well it wasn't me that won £161 million so my dream of retiring tomorrow and buying all the cross stitch supplies under the sun has gone out of the window :rotfl:
I am pleased someone in the uk won this huge jackpot but I do think particularly with the normal lottery that the prizes should be capped so that if you got three number you got say £50 instead of the usual tenner.
in regard the post above, im a slimming world target member who is wayyyyyyy out of target and I need to have a stern talking to with myself and get back on track before i'm back where I started. I've gone back to doing the sealed pot challenge on here and I'm thinking of instead of buying said cake or other naughty treat, putting the money into my sealed pot or saving the proceeds elsewhere to put towards cross stitch supplies - may be that will stop me....0 -
Hey yeah i saw the backstitching pages, sounds silly but I cant work out what the stitch is on the bottom right page right at the inside corner, its similar to two other symbols but isnt quite it - very strange! Have decided to do some of the yellow first as I'm doing one page at a time to keep me from TOO much confusion lol tho i do get confused very very easily lol xxxNSD November 1/20 :money:

Those bunnies are wonderful!! And loving all the beautiful cards.
I ordered that stand (and couple of other bits to go with it) they are going to be delivered to me to work tomorrow and I couldn't be more excited. :j I feel now like a proper cross stitcher :rotfl:

Apparently the Euromillions jackpot had been capped, sometime in the last 2 weeks I think. All ticket sales since the cap went on smaller prizes.....imagine the jackpot if it hadn't been capped!

Nice one! As I said before, I love mine, it's very adjustable so you can get your frame at just the right angle and a comfortable height to use.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Have checked my pattern and I think it may be an inverted Y (if I'm looking in the right place) if so then it's Beige Grey lt, anchor number 391. If that's not the one PM me and I can see if I can make it out on my pattern. Happy to help if I can.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j
