Chicky I think you should repost your letter to the mag in an up to date post so that any people visiting our cafe as a result of reading the article can see what the mag missed.:D

nykied -how much Anchor white do you need? I have some bobbins with white on them...I don't think it's a full skein though. You are welcome to them all as I don't use Anchor anymore...I prefer DMC. PM me if you want them. :D

Thanks muchly, but the lovely Shelly has offered me some already :D I only need about a skein, probably less, then I'm straight off back to DMC ;)

No worries nykied....if anyone else needs some Anchor threads, do get in touch. I don't have many, but they may be of use to someone.

Mind you, I could use them in my quilting...been working on an applique square that I am doing for my quilting group (beginners). We are all doing one or more squares (well, they are rectangles each A4 in size), using some dog shapes. Should look good when we are all finished. I am embellishing mine with some embroidery bits...been using my DMC threads as I automatically go for them, but will have to remember I have a few Anchor ones needing to be used up! :D

Also finished my X-stitch Fathers Day project...late I know. :o I am going to make it into something other than a card...will post piccies when I am done. Also been making some little bags/purses..so quite a busy bee!

I am hoping to sell some things that I make, but want to have fun (and frustration) at making a few things first to see how I go. The big plan is that I want to teach folk how to make stuff (knitting, sewing, crafting of all kinds...X-stitch too)..so developing a sort of portfolio if you will, of various bits and pieces. I will then have things to show people what they can make as well as a stock of things to sell or give as presents, productive all round! Someone said today I was doing some serious Career Development...sound better than crafting...it's fun, whatever I call it!! :rotfl:

I just have to get over the guilt of actually crafting/sewing all day!!!

I should have been made redundant today, but as the relevant paperwork still hasn't been completed, I'm not. Not got any work to do, so makes no difference to me, except that I have to wait longer for the redundancy money to come through!! :(

Hey ho, now off to sort out DS1's room, or at least make a start. It has been mycraft room the past few weeks...but he is coming home on Saturday, so it needs clearing!! Still trying to work out where I am going to put everything...looks like the shed will be win for a while! :o

Who knows...Elegant Lady could get done soon :eek::eek: :rotfl:

PS Great news about the article...which magazine is it in? X-stitch Crazy?
