Finally caught up earlier.
PAP - I LOVE that eye. Am definitely going to buy it when I get a bit further down my list (and know what colour we're decorating our bedroom).
I finished my card and got it in the post in time:
Really love these from new WOXS. Have to admit I didn't realise you could resubscribe to the 5 for £5 offer; as mine has run out and DD cancelled ages ago I've reset it with no problems for a further 5 months. Is that really bad of me?
Hopefully i'll catch up again before the weekend. We have a food festival in town on Sunday and I'm voluntarily decorating cakes with kids in the Town Hall all day. I don't do kids! Only 258 of the 400 cakes left to bake! :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe 2011 - no 58 :A

Hi
Not feeling too great today, worried about my DadHe was in hospital yesterday because he hasn't been able to eat for weeks and they have found a large tumour blocking his oesophagus. He won't get the biopsy results until Monday to say if it's cancerous so it will be a long weekend for the family.
Thing is, my Grandfather died in November from the same thing, so you can understand that we are fearing the worst. He went to the doctor in the middle of May but the doc didn't refer him as an urgent case so we are quite annoyed (understatement) that he hasn't been investigated sooner - he would probably still be waiting if my mum hadn't made him go back and chase things up.
So I will be stitching to take my mind off things today.....Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. OOOOh louise hope everything goes well for him. You would think given the family history that they'd have seen him a lot sooner.
I'm going to be chewing my fingers off tomorrow morning my youngest is being admitted today and having a op to repair a hole in his heart first thing in the morning. Hole is much bigger than they thought so his op may not work but the surgeon is fairly confident he can do it. They are operating via his leg as they are trying to avoid cutting his chest open if poss. If that doesn't work they'll have to so i have everything crossed.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20
New challenge finish birth sampler by end of the month
No matter how much life knocks you down, it's your ability to get back up, brush yourself off and face your next set of challenges that makes you stronger0 -
Louise, so sorry to hear that. I really hope its positive news on Monday but only can imagine what the waiting will be like. Take care...
Craftygranny, my fingers are crossed for you today and tomorrow. Hope the surgery goes well and the recovery is quick, will be thinking of you and your family
Update from me, I haven't done much, I have had a few nights/days off but I can now go back to work on Tuesday :T So want to do as much as I can (hopefully finish) Gorjuss before then.
2 nights work -
Take care all and have a great day :j0 -
Hugs Louise, I lost my Dad to melanoma 2 years ago and I remember how hard the period between tests and the results can be, I felt kinda stuck because it's hard to be proactive when you don't know what's gonna happen and you don't want to assume the worst. Have a dodgy hug :grouphug:
Fingers crossed for tomorrow Craftygranny, I hope it goes well.
I've been up half the night with Izzy, we went out for dinner last night and I think she must have pinched some food from Emily's plate when I wasn't looking. Emily had pasta in tomato sauce and Izzy is allergic to tomato so she's covered in hives. I gave her piriton but it didn't last the whole night so she woke up because she was itchyThe worst thing is the hives usually turn into patches of exzema so she's gonna be itchy until that clears up
My stitchy news is although I haven't actually stitched anything, I bought a new project which I'm planning on doing on a Tuesday afternoon while Emily is at her dance classes, she does ballet, modern then tap which in total is 2 hours straight stitching for me :T
I chose this design http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/Row-of-Sugar-Plum-Mice__BOT-XRO06.aspx which I thought was quite appropriate! I'm hoping that with a new project to do I might get my finger out and finish the teddy, I think because I'm a bit fed up of it I've been avoiding doing it but once I get started it's not too bad
Take care everyone xxxCross Stitch Cafe member 710 -
