vickietm I have a cd of birth samplers so i will get you a backup copy to look after for me you may find something on there. That chest of drawers one looks familiar i don't know if thats on one of them or if someone else posted they were going to stitch it. Hmm off for a cd hunt back soon.

Time off work always sounds good doesn't it PAP until it is forced on you! At least you'll have time to start on your new kits.

Thanks exactly it Vickie, I would rather be at work :o I love the drawers sample, very cute especially the elephant :)

Thank you very much, it might even fit in the envelope with the others I was going to look after for you. I'm guessing you still have my address from my last pm?

Everyone seems to be picking the one I liked, I think it is really unisex?

My first attempt at miniature stitching:

    June2011005.jpg

It only took about two hours. I read through some tutorials and got confuddled about 'tent stitch' and 'basketweave stitch' so I decided to stick to what I know best and did 'petit point' cross stitch - one thread over one on 28ct evenweave.

This one will probably eventually end up as a small cushion lol

opps sorry louise:o it is still lovely

wow that little angel is simply stunning. i dont think my eyes could cope with that. i keep saying ill stitch an angel but havent found 'the one' yet.
for years i promised myself an angel for our christmas tree then i saw her. she was beautiful, the first year she adorned our tree one of the kids rushed past it and it toppled she fell and her beautiful porcelain head hit a chair leg and shattered it was like slow motion all the kids just went very quiet and stared at it. i was gutted and was never able to replace her so we have a winnie the pooh soft toy with angel wings adorning our tree now (its a disney shop tree topper) at least that wont break

nnm - your Czar is coming along very nicely :)

Your seafarer is lovely louise - any seafaring family or friends around - would make a lovely xmas pressie :D Your angel is soo soo sweet. Have only used 28 count evenweave once before but did it over two squares.

Its another vote for the drawers vickie :D Would certainly do for boy or girl.

I have contacted the michael powell website regarding my cottage garden as the chimney pots and some of the roof tiles in the kit are done in garnet lt (20) and they look very red and different to the picture that comes with the kit. Has anyone done/seen/come across this before? I'm awaiting their reply - who said I was impatient.:D

    Take care everyone.
