    Morning ladies.

    Everyone's work is looking great!

Not much to report here. Have only managed 1 afternoon of stitching this week so far. I plan to do some more this afternoon but will see if that happens as I had a kit arrive yesterday from ebay and I like to sort the threads in a kit as soon as I get it so want to get that done first.
Also was tidying a cupboard yesterday and found some kits that I got from Mum & Dad for xmas that haven't had their threads sorted out yet, I was sure they had been done but they haven't.
I know how long sorting threads tends to take me so I might not get any stitching done after all :D
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:
  • Where is everyone? I miss refreshing my subs and reading about everyone's days... Shelly did you get all your threads sorted?

I am still off work  Its annoying me now but at least I can get this gift sorted ;) I will prob take an updated picture tonight as I have completed another 2 A4 pages now. Its just half the butterfly, some missing stitches and the silver left :T

As a side thought, has anyone stitched a John Clayton design, mainly his landscapes? I have seen a lovely one on ebay and I am tempted but don't know what they are to stitch, anyone any ideas?

I have stitched Golden Gate Bridge and started stitching one of the circles-Riverside, maybe? In some of the designs, Heritage use a squashed cross stitch, which is far easier to do on evenweave than on aida. I think I have Bluebell Wood & something wintery with sheep on (both circles range) if either of those are what you were looking at.

Many thanks Ruth :) The one I was looking at was his London landscape/skyline, seen here. It looks quite interesting. I would love to stitch something from London and its between that and one from the designer of this kit... I am unsure thats all :o

Both London kits are nice & detailed, but I like the effect of the black & White one with the red buses. There's a London city scape coming in the next issue of cross stitcher, btw.

Yes it does seem to have gone quiet after all the excitement last week about getting in the magazine.

I thought there was something wrong with my browser/Internet when I refreshed the page and the last post was the post from this morning. :D

So for a bit of fun, if money was no object, what cross stitching dream item would you buy ???

and in other news what are you reading at the moment ?

ps my world of cross stitching arrived today :j so will look forward to reading that tomorrow.

i think i'd probably improve my stash - different colour aidas, every dmc thread colour available, really good quality needles.
then i'd go to hobbycraft and pick whichever kit i like!

    toddler taming
    health and safety gone mad

    you?

I would buy a summer house (with heating!) so I could cross stitch there in peace all day. You did say money no object!!!

I am reading "sleeping arrangements" by Sophie Kinsella (writing as Madeleine Wickham) at the moment. Also part way through Gok's autobiography and a book called "personally, I blame my fairy godmother". Got several new books for my birthday too, so need to get reading faster!

Oooh, when you get chance, can you please see if my letter is in WOCS? With the Banksy pic. Ta!
