well i've finished with chris moyles "the gospel according to..." book if anyone wants it to read.

No thanks, unless you don't mind me burning it ;) I hate hate HATE that idiot

If money were no object, I'd buy lots of tiger/lion/giraffe-type animal kits.

At the moment, I'm reading 'Crossing The Paradise Line' by Annabel Giles, just whilst I wait to find the 6th book in the series I'm reading. Then I've got the rest of them up to number 17 or something :D

Has anyone ever had problems with delivery from sew and sew? I have ordered some crafty bits and paid for delivery on Saturday, so I was dead keen to get them! And I have heard nothing. No communication about time slot, nothing. I am so hacked off with sew and sew right now. And let me tell you, it was not a small order. :( Grrr.

I've had a delivery delayed because something was not in stock before. V annoying.

What are you making, show us the pic, c'mon!

I only had an issue with sew n so when I used a debit card that had expired ! or may be it was that I had canceled the card because I thought it was lost but was still in date - I can't remember! But all that happened was they e-mailed me to say my payment hadn't been successful and I could either phone up and give payment details or order my bits again (which was what I did). If something is out of stock then they send everything else and the out of stock item follows when they have it back in. When I ordered something and chose next day delivery, I got sent a despatch e-mail with the courier tracking number so I guess if you haven't had that something has gone amiss :(

I am one happy bunny :j I mentioned this morning that I really liked the Newton bear in the new issue of world of cross stitching. Well I checked my spreadsheet which indicated I didn't have all the threads but decided to at least get the threads I did have. Lo and behold, I find a bag with some anchor threads and all the colours i need are there ! so that means I can stitch him striaghtaway. Yay ! Thats tonight's project / tomorrow's project sorted :D

    Hi guys

I ordered a christmas magazine back issue which arrived today :j As I wanted some ideas. There seems to be a few decs and stuff stitched on plastic aida. What is this like to use??

My bear bookmark is coming along nicely he has colour now and everything! however I've neglected him a bit in the last few weeks as I have been stitching my sister and a friend birthday cards.

This one was for my sister

My sister now wants another one ..... although for that she would need another birthday lol. At least she'll be happy with a christmas one then :T

To answer the questions I'm currently reading a Jack Reacher book by Lee Child called Tripwire. I love them!

The other question mmm... I'm in agreement that time is a problem so a bit less time at work is a must, and I'd want to buy some stock stuff so that I can do what ever I fancy at the time and not just the few kits I have now. But to be fair I've only been doing this a few months so I assume it won't take long for me to get loads of 'spare' stuff I don't know what to do with :rotfl:.

Louise i agree those designs would look nice in a twin frame - I like the apparent simpleness - they're pretty.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend xx

I enjoyed stitching on plastic canvas and think it would work well for stitching xmas tree decorations. By its nature, its quite firm so easy to hold and stitch but be warned and don't do what I did and rip the canvas! I think I was trying to untangle a knot in the thread so gave the thread a sharp tug except I must have pulled too hard and the plastic canvas promptly ripped :( It hasn't put me off stitching with it, I would just be more careful in the future

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110465008169&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

... if anyone knows anywhere that sells them cheaper let us know :D

Quess what I had in the post today :j

Any recommendations for software that turns pictures into charts and also can be used for resizing the pictures (to fit to the coasters)?

Ended up stitching some costumes instead of cross stitching last night but was worth it cos it added to the school play we did today - the lady of the manor had a lovely wedding stole with my added lace and she had nice gold seersucker ribbon down the fron of her dress.

Going to 15 mins each downstairs room then settle down to casualty and stitching later with a glass of vino to help:beer:

That's the series that I'm part-way through! They're great, aren't they? I've read the first five, missing 6, then I've got 7,8 and 9, missing 10 and then I've got the rest, up to 15.
