I found the chart book I thoughti had but couldnt find! :j I didnt imagine it :D. There's a few that would be nice for Val's 90th... What do u think I should say along with a sampler style flower border? I will give her a little frame to to put the card in as a keepsake.

    Happy birthday Val

    To Val on your 90th

    Val Surname - 1921

Or some thing else? I just don't know what's right!

Or have number 90 large at the top and then Happy Birthday Val underneath.

  • Spiral I like Val (surname) 1921... But then I like Marru's idea :)

    Help!!!

I need your help ladies, I have just finished stitching most of the white on the bottom left of my eye picture and I have made a big blooper. My design is made up of 9 main pages, now I photo copy the chart so I can keep the original. Dispite me checking and double checking they came out perfect page 6 I have missed a whole row to the right. But I have only just nioticed now I have stitched part of page 3 which is next to it. So between page 3 and 6 I have a row of 34 stitches missing! The problem is to put the row back in (to the right of page 6) I would have to unpick a whole A4 page.

Now the missing line is all white plus 6 stitches of the butterfy's body. Do you think it will matter much if I just add this in and try and match up his body? The side where the missing line is doesn't seem bad as its all but done and looks perfect, hence why I missed it.

What do you think ladies? Unpick or bodge :rotfl:

Personally I would say bodge as although i have never tried anything bigger than about 6"sq contemplating unpicking a whole a4 page makes me want to lie down in a darkened room.........its bad enough unpicking 10 stitches and having to redo them :(

I'm for bodge too, you have put so much hard work in, to unpick it would be a crime. As a lot of finished pieces belonging to the cafe are....it will just be unique, or in your case (with your own colours etc) even more unique!

definitely bodge. I don't think I've ever completed a project exactly as per the chart, there are always stitches missed in one colour and later replaced by a similar colour that happens to be in the needle when I notice the missed one.

It just makes it more uniquely yours.
