Thanks shelly and pap- will keep an eye on ebay for any bargains. Your teddys a realy cutey btw shelly.

Been on a shopping trip today and was actually drawn into WHS and there sitting on the shelf was a pile of the Margaret Sherry books  Well I had a peep inside and before I realised what was happening I was walking towards the till, purse out and that was it - bought. I know it was a tenner but when I compared it to a lot of the mags. I think it worked out much better value and I really loved some of the designs whereas in the mags quite often there is an awful lot of stuff that just doesn't appeal.

Will have to work out how to upload pics of work - not that there is much to see at the moment. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No stitching done today so far but I was just about to .............:D

It struck me last night that it's only a couple of weeks until school breaks up! Was thinking about doing something for the boys' teachers but not sure what - any ideas? Have been looking at phrases about teaching, thinking about charting something, not sure.

Have decided to go with M&S chocs and a stitched coaster for each of them.
After another awful offering from cross stitcher, I think I may cancel it. It's so boring. The only thing I liked were the ladies, but I will never actually make them... Grr! Rant over!

I have been telling myself since about the 3rd new style issue that I am going to cancel but I've not got round to it :o Need to start getting CSCollection or CSCrazy instead.

Hey everyone, just a quick message I need some help. I have discovered where the materials I bought in the charity shop have came from, the peacock isnt the one I thougt it was. They are both from magazines so if anyone had copies it would be fantastic:

This is by Joan Elliott and is stunning, it was in issue 185 of cross stitch collection

and this is the sunflowers from cross stitch collection 188

Could anyone wink wink nudge nudge me a copy?

  • Todays plan is to finish the top three pages of my eye project before moving hopefully onto the last two main pages. Have a great day all :D

Done minus 10 stitches plus all the horrible silver thread which I am leaving until last :p Not much left to do now, two whole pages plus another 30 or so odd stitches I have left. I might just reach my dead line :T

Bubbles, you could email the editor of the mag - I ended up having to do that with the Kingfisher as I couldn't get the chart anywhere and MIL had be so adamant about how much she loved it!

Been sat catching up on the pages and pages that I missed since I was away at the weekend! Chicky, you are so good at writing. The reply is lovely.

I think that the silent auction is a great idea and how about you can only win one thing in the first round, then have a 2nd reound of bidding if there are any left so that more people get a chance of a kit? MIND is a great charity but think we should send any left over kits to the other one (was it Bridge? - sorry - having a bad brain day today).

I have nearly finished my fathers day cards now:

    My dads is finished

My father in laws is nearly there!

...I want to get this finished today as I would like to stitch a quick thank you card for my auntie who had us to stay this weekend. Was going to just write a quick one that I already have but I spent Sunday morning teaching her daughter to stitch so I thought it would be nice.

Anyway, better go as I've loads to do (again!) xx

Hi just a quick post, if we are going to give the prize to bridge I will ask them tomorrow which they prefer as I have a meeting with the md coming up about fundraising anyway (the fundraising part on their site takes you to an affiliate site where instead of getting cashback, your cashback goes to bridge) but I think people here should have the opportunity to buy them at a cheaper price. The craft classes at bridge dont do cross stitch so I think the money would be useful. What I could do is with the proceeds buy them materials for the craft classes. I will see what they say. Anyway I have to go now, Im off to the chiaropractor - have a nice day friends.
