Will try to do my best with the weather Flat Eric - although I can see a few clouds appearing. Your choccie buns look delish - can I have one please? I have been to gym this morning but did I work hard enough to warrant a choccy bun? - probably better pass this time
:D
Might try to get the lawns cut and then I think it will be stitching time :j.
Even though I have just started my latest project I have been wondering how to go about funding my next one as the nicer kits are expensive and funds are pretty tight at the moment. I was thinking of having a sewing pot and try to drop any spare change in that can go towards new project. Had thought about buying just chart and then buyiing a couple of threads each week. Perhaps you could share any ideas you have on funding your 'stitching habit'.
Thanks for my number chickySPC NO 041STARTED SW 04/14 - TARGET 05/16 - TOTAL LOSS 10ST 3.5LBS :dance:0 -
aww thanks everyone....well i'd love a freebie but also happy to donate for one....
Have looked at just giving - we could do MIND through it but not bridge (that i could see) so am happy to go with mind if thats what people are happy with (make it more UK based then just local). also if we did this we could then donate the 'unwanted' kits if there are any after we've got our mits on em direct to them to sell in their shop or use with their 'clients'. I think this would work better then ebay - although as (sorry had toddler running accross computer so didn't see who it was) pointed out there are charges involved - however by giving 100% of proeeds to charity via them you dont get charged. (if that makes sense).
agains let me know if this is ok with people.
Ellip - if you drop me a message with the sampler story on (here or facebook) i am happy to include it.
right hubby wants me to dearch for the cool boarders 2 manual online...BBS

Today's pic
Reading my last update I said I was going to finish it for her first birthday but as that was at the end of march I think I'll just aim to finish it before she leaves home :rotfl:
Chicky your letter is beautifully written and if you don't mind could I have a number too?
23rdspiral I love that sampler, I asked DH to chose one for me to stitch for us and the sod chose one in the same series as the teddy, I'm afraid to say my reply to him wasn't exactly polite as I am never stitching anything in sepia tones again :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe member 710 -
Chicky I think Mind is a good idea and if we can by-pass ebay it's even better.
As promised here's a picture of my completed x-stitch for my nephew and his partner. It was going to be a house warming card but took too long to finish (I'm blaming the kitchen) so turned it in to a picture.

As you can see it's taken from the dictionary of homes, it's the Home Brew picture but I've changed the wording. My nephew's partner loves tea so this was appropriate.
Here's what it looked like once framed. Not 100% happy but it's ok.

The comment when it was opened was "can I live in a house that looks like this".
It's nice to get a good response.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

How about the Rennie Mack sampler that both Louise and I have stitched? Too plain?
Here if you want to see (scroll down a little) http://www.countrycrossstitchkits.co.uk/
I loved stitching it and of course colours can be changed.
If you like it you know what to do
I was going to sugest this as well. I stitched it for my brothers wedding in Feb - they are into modern stuff but they loved the RM sampler (I did it in black and pink to match their theme)Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Well done Chicky - you have obviously spent ages on the reply and it really does the thread justice (and made me a little teary too)
Personally don't mind which of the options gets chosen as any would benefit charity and am still sad about the whole quilt business.
Has been raining, raining and raining all day here and we have got drenched four times. It is cold and dark and Novemberish rather than Juneish. My class are doing a play outdoors in a park next weekend so hopefully all this will have gone by then and we will be acting in glorious sunshine.
Not stitched much recently as too much school/house stuff to get done - and motivation a bit lacking to do much tbh, roll on summer hols.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

I like idea C as well. Lovely letter for the magazine, but my longest UFO was started when I was about 16 and finished when I was 340
