Does anyone know of a chart for a small (maybe 5 x 5 max) intial "I" kit suitable for a little girl's room? With a fairy or a princess or something like it?
My friend's little daughter is one on Valentine's day and I've just about got time to knock up a small framed intial for her to put on the wall.
Thank you in advance
I have a Tinkerbell one I couldif you like it - I bought it to stitch for my DD
It's 4x4"

Happy New Year everyone!!! :j :j :j
i hope everyone having a quiet night in had a nice time, and everyone who didnt do it quietly did it safely and without a hangover!
we didnt go to a house party for the first time in 5 years!!! (and for 4 years before that we went clubbing! gosh how things change! ) instead we had 3 friends over for nibbles and drinks, then headed out to our lovely local for 10 and saw in the new year there. it was really nice. we werent trashed thanks to the free buffet there, and after a few more drinks at mine, people went home/to bed at 4am ... and there was i thinking it'd be a quiet one!
crafty granny - i hope your grandaughter is feeling ok? poor thing.I am also a keen family historian and for Christmas was given a beautiful cross stitch family tree, but I refuse to start it until the other one is completed!
hello, welcome to the thread! that sounds like a very interesting stitch project. my mum & dad are into family history, and i'm a historian, so i'm really interested to see how a stitched family tree looks. good luck!sweetcarer wrote: »Sorry to be in such a downer - I just don't know what to do for best.
Kind wishes to all - happy new year to you and yours when it comes

hi sweetcarer, i'm sorry to hear you're feeling blue. i hope you pick up as the weather gets better and nights draw out more. perhaps try a little stitching? i do find it helps so much xxxwitchwoopiggy wrote: »well had a think about the cut thru sitch along, and ive decied not to join in , it doesnt fit into my do i need it want it new year lol please dont take affense, im just really trying hard to get some savings in 2011
why'd we take offence! it's really good that you're thinking your costs through. you should be pround.
i'd really like to join the cut through challenge but dont have many 'real' threads so probably can't and though i've cash at the moment, redundency is looming and i can't keep saying 'i'll buy it now coz i wont be able to soon..."i'll give it a little more thought though.
maybe someone couldme the chart for pirate ship or gypsy wagon and i could take a look and see how big they are and how many colours i'd be missing?

I've just realised that I need to get my friend's baby present ready to take with me on Tuesday! I have this...

(Somebunny to Love cuddly bunny toy wearing a bib)
...and the charts that come with it are a bit too girly. She knows she's having a boy, so I want something more 'boyish' but I reckon I have about 30 stitches each way to play with. I don't want to stitch an animal as the bib is on a bunny already. I have loads of magazines that I could look through, but not enough time to browse. Can anyone give me some suggestions on what kind of thing I could do??? Thanks in advance!Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27
