Part of the Furniture Photogenic Combo Breaker Xmas Saver!
ok who mentioned sew and so????!!!!!

just foound my cabbage patch kit cheaper then ebay (but over by about 50p when you added postage) so to justify buying from there i had to add one of 2 more things........ so i may have slipped the grandparents handprint kit in (as at £5 would be cheaper then buying threads and aida) ...... then a small version of the apache wedding sampler fell in and I don't know how but a 10" and 12" hoops and some shiney new neeedles also jumped in.

I'm very impressed tho - all for the tidy sum of £26.78 which I don't think is tooo bad. which does cover 3 pressies!!

Right time to put away the credit card for the year - unless i need any threads for princess palace. must go play with thomas trains.... told DS I'd be 1 minute so he keeps walking back up to me with 1 finger up going "minute, one.... minute"
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Im working on the cut thru castle at the minute although its been nearly 18 months since I started it!

I have been looking at the emily peacock patterns, has anyone tried them?

I have never stitched anything but pictures before but I really want to make new things for christmas gifts this year and like the emily peacock stuff! Whats the verdict?

    So as soon as I am done with that I will pick up another UFO that was last touched again in 2005 and finish it off as there is probably just under half of it left to do! {See pic. below.}

Soulie I have the same tiger kit as you. It has been an UFO of mine for AGES. I think I made a mistake on it but I couldn't find where I had gone wrong. I would love to finish it one day. Best of luck with yours:D

I too have this kit in my stash! It's one that I am desperate to start but at the same time I am saving it because once it's done it's done and I won't have it to look forward to anymore.....if you know what I mean :o

  • Hi niamhirl I bought the 60th birthday sampler from ebay but i can't post a link or work out how to put a picture in. The website is cross stitch club . Co . Uk

The colours look better in real life than they did online, more pink than purple, but I ordered it last Tuesday and it arrived on Thursday, 2nd class post!

Hubby has gone out so I'm getting in as much stitching before I go back to work on Tuesday

I've never stitched a design that is pre-printed onto the fabric. It sounds god for not needing to follow a chart and therefore good for stitching in front of the TV - but I have tis idea in my head that I wouldn't like it. What is eveyone's thoughts on pre printed fabric fr cross stitch?

Tried it once - hated it. You do still need to follow the chart to a certain extent but it annoyed me when the lines were slightly out and I had to make up bits along the edge. It got binned in the end - I think anyway, certainly haven't seen it since we moved house :o

Popped into Hobby Craft today, brand new one in Norwich. Lotd of good ideas, but boy, is it expensive! Reckon I'll stick with Ebay for skeins and needles for now.
I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.

Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.

That's what I always find at my local Hobbycraft. I go in there if I want a browse, but then come home and order the things I like online!

Soulie, I too have this. Embarrassed to say I bought and started it whilst still at uni, I'm guessing around 2000...oops. I go back to it every now and then but just can't seem to keep the motivation up with it. It's a shame though as I probably have less than a third to do. I'm going to make it my resolution to get it finished this year, but do other projects around it and then I won't get too fed up with it. It doesn't help that my pattern is a bit worn and tired now either.
Seeing it here does make me want to get it out though.

Last day off work today and spending the day catching up with the ironing and sorting out our dump room into a toy room for the girls. Think we'll need a skip by the time we have finished.
