I'm not sure where it's from. I think there is a novelty things company called Bright Side.. but I doubt they wrote it.

I have an android tablet which I installed Kindle on, and I like it. I'm using it now to type this. I hardly use my laptop now :) I am not sure I'd want a specific e-book reader though. Too restrictive.

I have also been lent an e-reader so have been trying that - are fellow cross stitch peeps for or against e-readers ? I still can't make up my mind.

I have a Kindle and I love it! DH bought one a few months ago - I was against them before I got to try his out....3 days later I had ordered my own! Me and DH are both bookworms (he has worked in libraries for the past 16 years, not that liking books is a prerequisite) but while he has got rid of most of his paperbacks I still like to have my absolute favourite books in 'tree book' format, so still have quite a few on my shelves.....

I've finally sent off the pic of my brother with the Banksy design kit I stitched for him to World Of Cross Stitching. Does anyone here subscribe to that mag? I don't, but obviously would buy it if they publish my letter. If anyone spots it, could you please post on here?

Issue 178 arrived this morning, but no sign of your Banksy stitch - will keep an eye out next issue :)

Good morning ladies, another sunshiny day.

Apols for not responding to your posts, I've not perused them yet, I've just popped on for an update of my May challenge.

Hoping to finish by end of May (ever the optimist) :D:D

My nephew is fixing some lights for me today (he's a qualified electrician) and I hate having workmen in, so I'm hoping to sit in the garden and stitch/do my nails.

Last week I had another subscription issue of Cross Stitcher arrive. I requested my magazine sub to change to Cross Stitch Collection almost 2 months ago, so I emailed to complain. Finally got a reply this morning telling me that because I bought the subscription using Tesco vouchers, I couldn't change it-dispite getting confirmation from Cross Stitch Collection that it had been transferred! Oh well...I'll just have to finish off this year, but I won't bother using the Tesco vouchers for it again. I am so disappointed with the new look. Saying that, I did like one design in it this issue, but I can't see myself ever having time to stitch it. It's a pillow with a heart of flowers on it. Haven't got the issue to hand to find what page it's on, but it was nice.

I've finally sent off the pic of my brother with the Banksy design kit I stitched for him to World Of Cross Stitching. Does anyone here subscribe to that mag? I don't, but obviously would buy it if they publish my letter. If anyone spots it, could you please post on here? Thanks! Urban Cross Stitch has a sale on at the moment if anyone is interested. They have money off all their kits & there's several Banksy style designs. http://www.urban-cross-stitch.com/abouturbancrossstitch.htm

I've done a bit of stitching this week. Not a huge amount, but more than I've managed in months. It's on a Raise The Roof design called 'What Side?' and I've started stitching a bit of the pink bedding. Not worth posting a pic just yet, but hoping my stitching bug is returning. :T

Further to your post above and my post also - I woke up this morning to an e-mail welcoming me to Cross Stitch Collection and thanking me for taking out a subscription - first direct debit payment will be taken in early June  Huh  I simply requested to change the mag I was receiving not start a new subscription ? I haven't authorised my direct debit payment either so I am not sure what they are playing at - I have e-mailed them. Thats made me grumpy for a sunday morning (well not really but has somewhat annoyed me!)

    Some good bargains on here:

Free p&p, and try quoting BARGAIN in the discount box for an extra 10% off - it worked for me on Weds. I bought Van Gogh's Sunflowers.

I'm really impressed by the larger pics being done by a few of you. The HAED ones are fantastic and Marru I love molly and Frankie :T

Thanks for the continued welcomes, and belated Happy Birthday to Louise from me.

I have finished the tortoise I was stitching for my friend, I'll add a pic asap, and the rocking horse is well on its way.

I got the bookmark I ordered off ebay in the post and can't wait to start that. I ordered it from acrosstownstitching but off their ebay site because on their actual website it was the same price but they charged postage whereas no postage charged if bought off ebay. Is this normal?! I'm glad I researched the best price first :j

Sorry, been busy at work this past week...managed to have a six-day week!! Not managed any sewing at all, only knitting when veg-ing out in front of the telly in the evenings.

    So first things first:

    :TBelated Happy Birthday Louise:T

Glad you had a good day, but oh dear to the cat hairs . My sis is allergic too and always took her tabs before coming to see us when we had cats. Hope you are feeling better now.
Your stitching is coming on well.

Love the other works too, that wizard is amazing!

Having a lazy day today, catching up here on MSE, but have made fruit loaves this mornng as well as done a bit of tidying up. So perhaps I can fit in some stitching later...who knows!

So must get off now and have some lunch before going out in the garden for a bit before weeding, sowing and planting..it's all go!

    Have a great day everyone.

    Hi,

    Loving the pics everyone.

I've got a couple of updates for the first time in ages!

Titanic 22 May 2011 (thought I haven't worked on it for a week or so).

Fathers Day card from Cross Stitch Collection. I'm also doing one for my FIL but that's only just started so not worth updating on that. Also doing the Rene Mac design - am going to try and finish that in time for my Grans birthday but not done a lot so far.

Have a pricture frame thing that I want to do to hold the scan of my best friends baby (everything found/brought to do it but not started yet) and the other day I found this UFO.....

Not done much of it but I seem to have all the threads and everything. Unfortunately I've lost the charms!!! Oops!

Currently waiting for hubby to get back (he's been called out from work), we hadn't had tea before he got called and now I'm starving!

Anyway, I'll probably only be lurking the week so have a good week everyone.
