Trying to decide whether to xstitch or do some more of my quilt. Or so I be very organsied and do an hour about on each. decisions decisions.

I have really enjoyed doing the Woodland Folk animals but my only problem is that the threads don't come sorted. Especially when doing Molly Mouse the shades were so close that I had to go to HC today to see the skeins and compare the colours.

Hmm perhaps if it is so difficult to make the difference it wouldn't have mattered which way I'd have stitched them. :rotfl:

My colleague will join us but as she is a newbie on this forum she can't post pictures yet so here is one of her work. I hope she won't mind me putting it here.

Last week I had another subscription issue of Cross Stitcher arrive. I requested my magazine sub to change to Cross Stitch Collection almost 2 months ago, so I emailed to complain. Finally got a reply this morning telling me that because I bought the subscription using Tesco vouchers, I couldn't change it-dispite getting confirmation from Cross Stitch Collection that it had been transferred! Oh well...I'll just have to finish off this year, but I won't bother using the Tesco vouchers for it again. I am so disappointed with the new look. Saying that, I did like one design in it this issue, but I can't see myself ever having time to stitch it. It's a pillow with a heart of flowers on it. Haven't got the issue to hand to find what page it's on, but it was nice.

I've finally sent off the pic of my brother with the Banksy design kit I stitched for him to World Of Cross Stitching. Does anyone here subscribe to that mag? I don't, but obviously would buy it if they publish my letter. If anyone spots it, could you please post on here? Thanks! Urban Cross Stitch has a sale on at the moment if anyone is interested. They have money off all their kits & there's several Banksy style designs. http://www.urban-cross-stitch.com/abouturbancrossstitch.htm

I've done a bit of stitching this week. Not a huge amount, but more than I've managed in months. It's on a Raise The Roof design called 'What Side?' and I've started stitching a bit of the pink bedding. Not worth posting a pic just yet, but hoping my stitching bug is returning. :T

Ruth-honey, some of the designs on the urban cross stitch site are great. If I had a girl I would do the dandelion girl, as I have a boy I somehow don't think we would appreciate it. However I do like the Star Wars kit - so tempted when I have enough kits etc to last until I am 110!

Going to my local CS today to look for material for my quilt. Have decided to sew during the day whilst it doesn't matter about the noise of the machine and do some x stitch later once everyone else is around. Will drop by on and off during the day.

    HELP!

hi ladies, sorry no time to chat, just ask a quick question, i'll pop back later in case someone has a good idea that havent thought of...

i finally finished the wedding sampler for my cousin - after decideing the bottom bit was a bit empty so desinging more twiddly bits to fill it and then panicking that it didnt fit the apperture it cardboard bit of the frame i realised i'd added 2 stitches to the right hand top twiddly bit. so i unpicked and restitched... anyway. i've never framed a piece properly before and wanted to tape the wading down then stitch the fabric accross it or tape that too... but my OH has locked the double sided tape in the shed and he wont be in till 10pm... what do i do? i have to leave for the wedding first thing and dont know if i can get to a shop that sells double sided in time. harumph for the craft shop in town being closed on thursdays! any ideas? please!!

Supermarkets sell double sided tape. In fact corner shops probably do too. Or you could lace your work in-but it would be much quicker to nip to a shop. Lacing is quite time consuming.
