  • *Louise* Happy Birthday and many happy returns!

The robin's are coming along nicely, I'm just daunted by the vast amount of backstitch that needs to be done.

I've been sorting through my cross stitch stash, hmmm :eek::eek:. I've got one of these from Dunelm http://www.dunelm-mill.com/shop/non-woven-collection-kids-toy-box-101328 and it's chockka with threads, fabric, magazines and small storage boxes.

I'm loving everyones projects they look amazing.

  • Here's a link to my curreny wip. http://www.flickr.com/photos/63013011@N03/5730754463/ I know it's a tad untidy with threads all over the place and my aim is to finish the Robin dressed as a robber.

Marru your colleagues work is stunning. I love the colours . My son would love that .

Littlemisschocolate your birds are coming along nicely. Love your stash box. I have 3 of those stacking leather cubes from wilkos they match my couch then oh won't moan. The middle sized one is full of boxes of threads , The biggest has kits and a few charts in and the smallest has card blanks, magnets and frames in but there is more oh just doesn't know lol.

  • Thank you craftygranny, this is going to be a Christmas present for my mum who loves Robins. I'm also pleased it's not just me that's got a huge stash of goodies hidden around the house. It doesn't help that my mum manages a Charity Shop and the ladies that help her out know I do cross stitch and are always buying bits and bobs for me.

Sorry not been posting for a while, have been reading though and there has been some fantastic stitching going on.

Marru, the picture you have posted for your friend is stunning, I bet she is proud of herself for that one!

I have managed to finish my teddy, I will post pictures when hubby tells me how, and am now starting on the picture of a bunny to match. I have also made a bit of progress on my tigers and actually enjoyed so things are looking up for them.

My 19 month old managed to fracture her shinbone last night, coming down her slide with her foot under her. She has a pot up to her thigh, and as she hates being immobile, she's going to be a nightmare until she works out how to get around, so I'm guessing I won't be getting much time for stitching. We are going camping Friday to the seaside, but there'll be no swimming or beach for little madam.

I hope she will come and say hello soon. Forgot to ask what she chose as her username here.

I am so daft. I dashed out of the house this morning knowing that I will be sitting in the train today and didn't take Molly with me. I could have finished the backstitch on her.

  • Hi All - hugs to all who need them, especially vickietm, your poor little girl!

What I am about to post now is not very MSE so look away now if you are easily tempted....

It's our wedding anni next month and I've just ordered by pressie from DH from Sewandso - a Lowery workstand! Very romantic I know but after 11 years its just easier to buy our own presents, as DH says - it's all the same money anyway.....

Can't wait for it to arrive (tomorrow hopefully) and give it a good road test. I was also tempted by another 25% off HAED sale - but decided there are only so many big projects I can stitch at a time! I've set up a wishlist so that if there is a 50% off sale (like a week or so ago) I have all my favourites to hand incase my pennies are burning a hole in my pocket.....oops not very mse again........ but cross stitch is my only vice (wine doesn't count!)

    Have a good day everyone.........:j
