    Hello!

Thought I would post to say Hi instead of lurking and being nosy like I have been doing recently - apologies for that :o

I have just finished a part time uni degree and decided I need a new hobby. I am only planning on doing small designs for the moment as I think I will get bored doing a bigger design as I'm so impatient and will want it finished as soon as I can without having the time to actually do it (also I have nowhere to put it when its done). Unlike some of you who appear either fast stitchers (Lousie comes to mind from everyone elses comments :)) or doing these HAED ones which appear enormous lol!

I'll try and post a pic of the two I've finished. I'm also doing another two little ones as presents for friends that I've designed myself (a tortoise and a rocking horse) - pictures of these to follow sometime later.

I have quite a few more small mouseloft ones and I've just bought a me to you bookmark that I love off ebay that I'm waiting for in the post. These are my UFO's I believe :rotfl:

So although the ones I'm doing are small I need to start somewhere - especially as I can manage full and 3/4 stitches but not much else....

Hmmm need to go back and read the instructions on posting pics. I'll try again...

Hope I have done this right! These aren't exactly as the pattern, but that makes them unique ha ha

Love your work Observer...it's good to start small and work up. Also it's easier to have small pieces on the go when you are travelling.

I have an HEAD on the go...but not done any since last year...really must get going on it next month.

Still no stitching this week on Elegant Lady, nor much chance of doing any tonight...the ironing montain beckons! :(

Mind you, DH seems to have made a start, so maybe I can get a bit of stitching dione as well...need to get off here soon then! :D

Welcome to the new members :j

Here is my latest Czar update, this last section seems to be taking forever. It doesn't help with unxpected trips to A&E, my OH found out he has a narrowing of the artery in his leg, this is causing high blood pressure, his BP was 200/110 on Friday so the Dr called an ambulance just to be safe, he's fine now some scary stuff going on atm. Oh and i'm also feeding him too much junk as he has very high cholesterol, oops :o

Hi all some lovely makes, like the giraffe.

Took my MP Wedding sampler for a ride to my dads at lunchtime. It sat on the side and then came home again. It enjoyed the chance of scenery but unfortunately received no further stitches from me :D.

I know it not x stitch but I have managed to complete 2 blocks of my star quilt, I'm following crazymomquilts blog.

nmm - I was posting at the time you posted so didn't say how lovely czar looking now.

Sorry to hear about your other half. I'm sure he will bounce back to good health soon. No more eggs for breakfast if his cholestral is high.

    Take care.

Hi all - just a quick post before bedtime

Naff all stitching for me this weekend :( Had to go on a training day yesterday so my brain was too knackered by night time, then today by the time I had been shopping, cleaned the kitchen, made Sunday dinner, done the ironing, a wii fit workout then a few bits on the computer, it's now bedtime. Pffft.

Craftygranny - I just mentioned your problem to my hubby, he used to run a garage. From what you have said, he reckons the warranty should cover a cylinder head gasket, but it won't cover the diagnostics and the other items that need to be replaced at the same time (antifreeze, oil & oil filter etc) he also said the garage may recommend you get the timing belt changed as well, which is something that should be done.

However, he said that before you get the warranty company involved, go back to the garage you bought the car from and if they don't offer to repair it, then tell them you are going to trading standards and will be getting legal advice. The vehicle should be fit for purpose, and it obviously isn't.

AND - if you don't get any joy from them, you could always do what someone did to a local garage round here....they bought a car which broke down after a short period of time, so they legally parked it right outside the car dealers, and covered it in sheets of paper telling what happened and advising people not to buy from there :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Observer - congrats on getting rid of the lurker status and joining us :D That Giraffe is SO cute :j

Nmm - looking fantastic :T:T hope your hubby is fighting fit again soon

I can avoid sew & seew and many other online shopping sites, my vice is ebay so I tend to not go on there much. Unless you ladies link to it :rotfl:

Don't be blaming us if the temptation is too much for you! :rotfl:

Observer. Welcome to the cafe! :D Love the Giraffe and Sheep, very cute.

Nmm. Czar is looking good! Hope your hubby gets back to full health soon.

    Here's my weekly update....

    Last week,

    This week,

    Photo-0002-2.jpg

Sorry if the second pic is showing bigger than the first. Not sure if a glitch on photobucket as I have uploaded and resized twice but it's still showing bigger than I would like :o
Might sort itself out later, who knows.
