Happy New Year everyone
I fell asleep sometime after 10pm, so I wasn't even close to seeing in the new year. My son gets up at 5am every day, meaning midnight isn't a time I ever really see or I'd live in a permanent state of exhaustion!! Even hubby went to bed by 11, and he usually manages to stay awake.0 -
i have lost the quote i was suposed to be quoting, but I think a SAL sounds great. i havent done any of the dictionary ones before.
happy new year everyone, I wont be starting my cut thru today unless the postman magickly decides to bring it to me, wich i doubt as im sure hogmanay is a public holiday.
I will work on my lettering tho, I have only read back a few pages so if i havent thanked your post im sorry i wasnt being rude i just havent looked at it yet.0 -
Happy New Year everyone! Had a lovely night last night, I'd actually forgotten what it was like to be in front of the bar instead of behind it!! H2b gone to football for the day and DS not likely to surface until tomorrow so lovely stitchy day for me
Would like to join the 'dictionary of' SAL I really like the teapot one. Have a little bit of Christmas money from MIL2b so will use that.

Hi ladies.
Happy New Year to you all!!
We were out all day/night yesterday at my parents and we let off some lanterns at midnight.
Dad had a slight moment of panic when one drifted near the conservatory roof but luckily it didn't quite touch down on the roof :rotfl:
We are out again tonight at friends which should be fun as they have the new xbox kinect thingy.
Hubby wants to watch a film this afternoon so I might steer him into watching one I'm not bothered about so I can do some stitching:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Happy New Year - *'lang may yer lums reek'
Blimey most of you seemed to have a quiet one last night. I'm sure it's illegal here in Scotland not to be partying on Hogmanay :rotfl: I had people over here for a party and they all stayed till 4am - my lovely hubby got up with the kids this morning and let me have a lie in
Just going to sit with a cuppa and get to work on the wedding sampler, then need to look out some baby boy birth samplers for a friend.
Happy New Years' Stitching - looking forward to the first progress pics on all these cut thru's :T

I hope everyone is having a relaxing new year's day. I managed a lie in this morning despite my furry alarm clocks efforts to get me up. :rotfl:
I've got a chilli on the hob and a $ainsburys lemon cheesecake for pudd so all that remains is for me to settle myself on the sofa with my stitching.
I think I have friends coming round later which will be nice - I didn't get to see them last night. My OH traditionally gives up alcohol for January and I am tempted to join him in his efforts but think I might start when I go back to work on the 4th. Another family meal planned for tomorrow so wine in the fridge for that and it would be rude not to share in a glass wouldn't it ??
I'm excited about 2011 and all the stitching opportunities it will bring. Happy New Year all and happy stitching0 -
