i'm up for that with help of a ;);) from someone.

I'm up for that too. I've done 'Bras' which was good fun to stitch, and have 'Boots' and 'Cakes' to do. Cakes is started, but not got that far on it. It's part of my January challenge anyway, so if people want to have a SAL, count me in!

Been gridding the fabric for Princess Palace, whilst watching 'All About Steve' on Sky movies and enjoying a glass of wine. New Year is so overrated & the few times I have been out, I haven't really enjoyed myself anyway, so we just stay in and have a quiet night. Most years we don't even manage to stay up until midnight, but probably will this year. May venture outside to look for fireworks. Can hear them going off already-why??? If I had the space, I'd have you all over for a new years eve stitching marathon & we could eat waffles and Ben & Jerrys...:D

    Ellie,

I didn't get a single invite anywhere either. Frankly, it suits me to do my own thing :)

I spoke to the parents earlier - they both sounded sloshed which is good news :D

I've just watched "Elizabeth" and loved it.....now it might be bedtime :)

    HNY all you lovely lot

Another one here, having a quiet one at home and stitching. Seem to have a few friends having quiet ones this year. We have our 14 year old nephew staying so he and dh are having fun on the ps3 which leaves me free to stitch.

I have finished the first part of my January challenge already and finished the Flower Girl. It involved using some of the DMC Light Effect threads and to be honest I found them a bit of a nightmare. They kept splitting and because it was using 2 strands, they never seemed to stay the same length when cutting and moving onto the next section. I think I will get some of that wax someone mentioned recently if I have to use them again.
I am also managing to make some headway on the backstitch for the Me to You sampler although its taking some concentration.

Good luck to everyone taking part in the cut-thru stitchalong, I won't be taking part as I'm one of those where they just don't hit the spot for me (although the more I look, the more they grow on me). Will hopefully take part in the dictionary one though, although how I will be able to pick which one I don't know.

    Happy New Year to everyone

5 min to go. I wasn't sure if I'd bother to stay up til midnight but might as well now.

I've been working on my Giraffe and have almost finished page 2, just a thin strip 2 stitches wide by 50 stitches long and some backstitch to do. I really am going to have to change January's target or I'll have reached it in the first week!

    Happy New Year to everyone
