  • caroline - defo no contest....stitchy stitchy stitch..... whens bubba due i'm 23 weekscon sunday so can't be too much difference in dates.

Due on 23rd April....Can't wait, we have been trying for 6 years and had one miscarriage in May 09, would have been a year old baby by now. This one had a few problems at start but everything seems to be okay now...Have midwife appointment on Tuesday when we will get to hear heartbeat for first time, should reassure us as I am not showing (although I weigh 19.5 stone, so hard to notice), haven't put on a pound and don't feel much movement, only a weird feeling like a fish flipping about in my tummy...lol
    ;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)

Well, earlier on I picked up the Queen Anne House again to carry on with the beading, and noticed a mistake I've made in the stitching. I think it's only a few stitches I've done wrong, but in 2 colours, and will need to unpick and restitch. Then get the thread stitched into the birds nest on the back so it doesn't come loose (that's the most annoying part, I think!) So I've put it aside for now and have dragged out my kit box to find the Cut Thrus. I'd forgot that I also bought the Lighthouse. No idea when I bought that one! :o
Have found the washable pen, so am all ready to start marking up the fabric. May start that tonight, but we'll see how I go.

Also gathered up some bits I bought in the Wimble Bees closing down sale and sorted through that. Some of the fabric pieces I'm cutting up to share with my mum. Thought I'd do her a stitching hamper. Got some socks with 'stitching girl' on, some aida, evenweave, keyring blanks & some sparkly floss.

Polstitches has a sale on, BTW. Some gorgeous hand dyed fabrics.:D Gonna try and persuade DH to get started on buying Valentines pressies...;););)

hi I would like to join in the cut thru challenge if that's OK. I think I have missed the details though - does it last for as long as it takes to complete? I just told OH and his comment was "that will take you ages!" I can't afford to buy the kit till OH gets paid at the end of January though so will it be OK for me to join then - although you will probably all have finished by then! even if I am too late for the challenge I still fancy doing one of these - just have to decide which one:D
saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
    £60 deposit paid :j £100 paid:j £40 paid:j

Join in at the end of Jan, by all means! It's gonna take me ages too, but at least it'll spur me on seeing the progress of mine & everyone elses week by week.

  • I won't be finished by the end of January bunbun, so don't worry about joining later. I have got my aida but am still waiting for some threads for my cut thru, am looking forward to starting. I shall try and get myself organised to start tomorrow but have this horrid bug that has been doing the rounds.

    Happy New Year eveyone

Well there is not much of 2010 left now !!! I hope you are all having a lovely relaxing new year's eve. I  my OH off a short while ago as he set off for the pub so I am sat in the warm with Alice and Wonderland on the tv and my free glass of red wine/bottle of becks at my side :rotfl::rotfl: and my sister for company. Who needs to go out ??!!

Have any of you set any new year's resolutions ???? I haven't yet. Cross Stitch resolutions include actually finishing the stuff I start ! so thats the row of cats to be finished, plus my ow zat country companions cricket design and my friend's wedding sampler at the top of the list of the projects for 2011, oh and to make a start on my dimensions european bistro kit that I got plus the mr men kit I ordered today. Also to start my xmas cards early - make my friend's 21st birthday stitch (May) and perhaps stitch a few birthday cards as well !
Hmm 2011 is going to be busy me thinks !

Happy New Year 2011. Hope its special for all of you and have a special new year hug :grouphug: see you in 2011 ! :D
