It could be over ambitious to be honest, but worth a try.0

Hi Ladies, Can I join in too?
I have been a keen cross stitcher since about 12 (am 30 in July!) have completed lots of designs in that time. I have 2 small children now, 3 and 1 and started a Winnie the Pooh height chart when I was pregnant with my eldest that still isn't finished
I am hoping that I can use the forum to get back into my stitching and get this chart completed.
I am also a keen family historian and for Christmas was given a beautiful cross stitch family tree, but I refuse to start it until the other one is completed!
Looking forward to chatting
BB

I'll have a look at Flickr and see about joining up, as I'd never heard of it either!
I have no plans for New Year as I'm under the duvet feeling rotten. An early night for me, lol. This has been an awful year, so I'll be glad to see the back of it. I'm hoping for good things next year though, so best wishes and hope everyone has a great new yearlovecrafting wrote: »It could be over ambitious to be honest, but worth a try.
You never know what you're capable of until you try...:D
I must dig out my kit box if we're aiming to start tomorrow. Bit scared to, to be honest. Might find other kits that I *must* start now. Oh, my Sew & So charts arrived today. Will deal with them over the weekend. If anyone needs to PM me email addresses, let me know which you want-Calories or Pair tree.

Very true. I thought I was being a bit ambitious setting myself 1 chart page of my Giraffe project by the end of Jan but I've done 1 (backstitch and all) and I'm 2/3 way through the 2nd already and January hasn't even started.
I'm sure that quitting all Zynga facebook games has helped a huge amount with this progress though.
Sorry I'm not going to join in with the cut through stitchalong. None of the pictures really capture me enough, and I've only just started Giraffe and Baby so I'll be continuing on that rather than making a UFO to join in. I'm only a couple of weeks ahead of you anyway and with different stitching speeds you won't be able to tell in a couple of weeks!0 -
Didn't quite manage my December challenge. Wedding sampler all finished and lettering done, but a little bit of beading still to do. Will finish it tomorrow and post picture from new camera, along with pictures of the last two kits finished and framed!
Not sure what to do next, I have the red crockery sampler all ready to go but also want to do the LOVE cushion. Sorted all the threads out on Christmas Eve, only four short, which I have ordered online today. Have whole day to myself tomorrow as h2b is going to football at 10.30am and won't be back until after I go to work at 6 o'clock
Going to the pub tonight as it's my first Friday night off in over a year so gonna make the most of it.

Hello Girls
Sorry I have not been on of late - been a up and down week and not much done that I had planned.
Was at a the school reunion on Wednesday - good night, was nice seeing everyone again - planning to do it again next year as we are all reaching the big 4-0 next year.
Really wanted to sit down and sort out my magazines - might do that tonight - if I get the energy summoned. All I feel like doing is sleeping. Him indoors is on the night shift tonight, so it will be just me and Sam for the new year.
I am not too keen on the cut thru designs but I will try and find something for me to do. I do miss it. Got the latest CrossStitcher and CrossStitchCollection in the post today - opened them up to read over a bit of munch and Sam decides to have a running race round my tea and spilled it all over the magazines - grrrr.
Talking of Layton - I have just completed part one (just to complete the weekly challenges) - curious village. Got part 2 and 3 waiting for me to start.
Was in town today and bought a frame in the sales for the American Anniversery Sampler so, might try and frame it up tonight - it is a wee bit big but it has plastic glass so good for posting overseas. I know its late but my blues have really got to me of late.
Sorry to be in such a downer - I just don't know what to do for best.
Kind wishes to all - happy new year to you and yours when it comes

hugs sweetcarer :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: I should be happy being on my xmas hols but I have spent most of them too stressed/fed up to function properly and dreading the return to work next week.
I had this issue with my breathing back along - when I get
stressed/wound up/upset, I can't breath properly and its been pretty much back with a vengeance these last couple of weeks
Today for example, I haven't been able to breath properly since my fight with the self service checkout  in $ainsburys this lunchtime. I think the young staff member who was looking after the self service check outs knew i was about to have a complete tantrum because she packed my shopping for meand this was after I had to have at least seven visits from the two staff members looking after them because I had "unexpected item in bagging error" / needed authorisation for my purchase of crackers etc etc
grrrrrrrrrrrrr
anyway. to cheer myself up and since i am staying in this new years eve (i expect I shall be tucked up in bed zzzzzzzz before Big Ben strikes), I have treated myself to this http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&uid=&Prod_Code=39595&ww=on&do=search_results
I don't fancy one of those cut thru designs but this really made me smile
Have a fab new year's evening all
