    Hi all

haven't managed to do any stitching today but did a couple of hours yesterday. Most importantly fixed my craft lamp so I can now do stitching in the evening. which will help get more projects done.

struggling to compete with rest of family for a turn on the computer at the moment should be better when they are all back at work and school, does any one else have the same problem?

My 5 year old grandaughter kept kicking me off ( she lives with us) my oh and me and my 2 youngest sons who live at home all have our own.
I spoke nicely to santa on her behalf and he brought her a netbook so now i get mine to myself. Netbook will be handy if i need to use it in craft room when she's not around. :D

Mag's that conversion chart is fab never seen it before. Thank you so much for the :cool:;);) too.

Big thank you too to chicky for the :cool:;);) i'll be printing it off ready in the morning.

    Thanks that's great:A

Bless you Mags this is amazing! Will be having a good look tomorrow or should that be later this morning:rotfl:, and sorting out what I need, hope it works, if not I will be getting the Dimensions Uk address out.

Thanks ladies, this forum is great, you are all :A

    You're both very welcome

I've used it a lot - both to and from DMC/Anchor and with Dimensions kits. It's never an *absolutely exact* match, but at least you know you'll be using something that's about the right colour and shade intensity!

Edited to add - ooooooooh! I can multiquote!

I am regularly kicked off by my 3 year old wanting to play cebeebies and my 11 year old wanting on to play Sims. Pfft. :rotfl:

Ohh that just reminded me - hubby bought me one of them for Christmas, I must give it a whirl :)

Started working on my brother/SIL to be's wedding pic last night. Black and baby pink wouldn't be my first choice for a colour scheme but it's not looking too bad, maybe a bit pale atm but I reckon it will come together

  • Chickywiggle - just wanted to say thanks muchly for the ;);) will get started on them asap!
However I have to report that even though I said on my challenge that I would be finishing Think Green, I have started doing the SWALK Brand New special little person - will post a piccy later - as a girl at work is going to be having a wee boy in April so better get my skates on!
Will do a compromise - will finish Think Green AND my current page of Special Person by the end of January - possibly a good thing that im poorly with a chest infection :( and will be in my bed early every night (except for tonight of course teehee) xx

I'm doing the Cut Thru kits for me & DH (30 & 50), so you don't need little ones to stitch 'for'. If you want to join in, join in! Or do a stitch-a-long with something else.

Happy New Years eve all.:j What do you all have planned for this evening ?

I am being bah humhug this year and intend to stay in so friends/family can call in as they please before they trot off to the town/pubs whereas I shall be staying in the warm with my own private toilet with endless supply of loo roll :rotfl:, my own personal free bar and my choice of entertainment (cross stitch v the xmas day poirot)

and I don't intend to drink too much festive spirit unlike last night :rotfl::beer: so tomorrow I can be up bright and early, prep the chilli for tea and sit down for the day with my cross stitch and more columbo "Just one more thing" :D

I have seen lots of mention of the stitch a long and the bothy threads cut through designs - what is the plan here ???? Do we pick a design and stitch it ?? and pool our efforts on the flickr account ?

I send everyone a special new year's eve hug :grouphug: and hope 2011 brings everything you want it to.
  • Flat, I don't know what flickr is but will google it just in case thats what we are doing for the stitch a long.

Happy new year to you aswel, and once i have completley de cluttered my living room i am on strike for the rest of the day and fionnishing my lettering ready for when my cut thru arrives, unless of corse it arrives today then all my plans are out of the window I just know i will have to start that.

    Lovecrafting - https://www.flickr.com

It's a photosharing website that's free to join. Lots of us already had accounts there so I set up a group so that we could put up pictures of our crafting.

If you'd like to join up, PM me your email address and I'll send you a link that explains how to start :)
  • There is a shared Flickr group - its for photo sharing (aka perving). There's a link on the first post of this thread. If you apply to join put your name in the message and Mags will approve you!

As for the stitchalong, I believe we are starting on the 1st (ARGH, that's tomorrow!) I don't know what the logistics are. Will need someone a little more organised to boss me about a bit.

I've ordered my lighthouse, but it's not here yet :(
