The Flickr group's doing really well - we've got 21 (almost 22!) members and already over 100 photos.

    Go us! :T

I haven't got a cut-thru to stitch so I will just keep going with the wedding sampler. Can't wait to see everyone's pictures, though :D
  • Thats me joined the group and will upload some pictures in a wee wile. i keep procrastonating and really need to finnish my living room, its finding homes for everything thats a nightmare, like wool, i could open a wool shop with this lot.

Ohh that just reminded me - hubby bought me one of them for Christmas, I must give it a whirl :)
Which one? I've done them all so far (2 with this third one one the way).

My January Challenge is still the Piglet Cushion, which I will start again on Tuesday, once it's back to just me. :o
  • i may not be starting my cut-thru on the 1st unless i have enough 14 or 12ct aida to change the design size as my paypal account still frozen so i can't buy any new aida offf ebay and not hunted for any anywhere else.

however i will continue to plod on tho my stitch/ stash project. Hubby went to the pub (working mens club) for a drink last night and got talking to them who said they were short of bar staff tonight. Instead of paying him cash in hand (which would have to go thro the books - grr bad tax man) they will pay his subs for next year (about £40) instead. deal done. so I have a boy free night (he WILL be in bed at 7 tho I may wake him for a huggle at midnight) and gonna eat pizza....... unless I accidently take a detour after picking DS up from childminders and accidently end up in KFC and a 14pc boneless box falls into my hands, get my stitching out, dose up on paracetamol and antihistamenes, bring the duvet downstairs and catch up on one born at christmas (yes EVERY epidode as DH won't let me watch it when he's around) - thank god for sky+.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:
  • How long is this stitch-along going to last? I just realised I'll probably be a lot slower than everyone else as I'll only spend one or two sessions a week on it.

I'll have a look at Flickr and see about joining up, as I'd never heard of it either!

I have no plans for New Year as I'm under the duvet feeling rotten. An early night for me, lol. This has been an awful year, so I'll be glad to see the back of it. I'm hoping for good things next year though, so best wishes and hope everyone has a great new year :)

I'm not being held responsible for the hours any of you may lose on that site. Once you get into it the millions of photos that are already there are totally absorbing....you find a group with some interesting shots, click on one, click on that person's profile, click on the photos they have marked as their favourites....Look up and two hours have disappeared.

How do I know this? :o

Where did you get those wee squares to add to your aida please? it looks ideal for me

It's just a wash out marker pen like this one:

I have been using it for nearly a year now and it's the best accessory I have ever used, halves my stitching time.:j

Had to check it - it's Pandora's box - I did the curious village last year, they are quite good to keep the brain going lol. Might get the third one for my birthday :)

I can last as long as you like! No time limit on it, but you will find that with people posting progress pics, it spurs you on to keep on stitching. My Titanic pic took me 2 1/2 years, but that was one evening a week & I did have quite a few weeks off.
lovecrafting wants to do hers by the end of Jan (good luck! That sounds ambitious!) because she has other things to stitch to a deadline. I'll take way longer because I have lots of other things on the go too, but I'll get there in the end.

Hope you feel better soon. Been a horrible year for me too, so hoping 2011 will be happier. My plans for tonight are snuggle up on the sofa with my stitching & food from the chippy. Then go to bed and watch Bad Girls on DVD. Nothing special...Mum's birthday tomorrow-although I won't see her til next week. Must gather up her birthday pressies this weekend though.

Happy New Year girls! Here's to a year filled with stitching.
