Blimey midnight takes a long time to come round doesn't it?! Seems like everyone I know is having the same at home with a stitch and a drinkie (best way to see out the old and into the new year:j)

Kids are snoring, dh is doing the new year ring round and I am on with January's challenge of chapel window with a sherry to keep me company. Going to see my olds and the soggy hosue tomorrow so got to stay sober for the drive over there.

Sweetcarer lots of :grouphug: - new year gets to me some years as well and I get really down with it then other years it is fine. Hope you are feeling more like yourself soon.

Am not sure I will make it to midnight so Happy New Year in advance. May 2011 bring you everything you need, want and wish for.

hi I would like to join in the cut thru challenge if that's OK. I think I have missed the details though - does it last for as long as it takes to complete? I just told OH and his comment was "that will take you ages!" I can't afford to buy the kit till OH gets paid at the end of January though so will it be OK for me to join then - although you will probably all have finished by then! even if I am too late for the challenge I still fancy doing one of these - just have to decide which one:D

    Hi bun bun :wave::wave::wave:
Hope you and your oh and the boys had a lovely xmas.
If you want a nudge of the princess palace chart i can send you a copy of the one the lovely chicky sent me . Or chicky had the pirate ship too looks fab for boys. :D
Wouldn't worry about how long it takes i'll be sat here this time next year probably telling everyone i haven't finished.lol

Due on 23rd April....Can't wait, we have been trying for 6 years and had one miscarriage in May 09, would have been a year old baby by now. This one had a few problems at start but everything seems to be okay now...Have midwife appointment on Tuesday when we will get to hear heartbeat for first time, should reassure us as I am not showing (although I weigh 19.5 stone, so hard to notice), haven't put on a pound and don't feel much movement, only a weird feeling like a fish flipping about in my tummy...lol

oh i bet you can't- that is one longggg 6 years. I lost a baby at beginning of the year so completly know the feeling. I love hearing heartbeat for the first time, my midwife was lovely and found it at my 17 week appointment. I have nooo problems with this one being alive and well he is currently kicking 2010 out of me with such a hugeee force it hurts!! Am showing quite a lot now (despite my manager saying i'm not, you'd not have known i was pg with DS1 till about 7.5/8 months as i was tiny and suddenly burst over night.

I was about 19 stone when i had my fourth child and put on hardly any weight at the start and then started losing weight and at my scan they found child no 5 too . lol so i had 2 babies and lost a bit of weight bonus. :rotfl:

so THAT's how it's done :D I have most defo put on weight (tho i never weigh myself may do it over the weekend and compare it to my mat notes from my 12week weight).

am reallly regretting catching up on one born at christmas was crying and miscounted my stitching!!

  • I'm pleased to see so many of you having a quiet night in with your stitching tonight. I was feeling really low about not going out anywhere.

I've just got home from work (finished at 10.00 pm) but I can't go to the party that I was going to go to because ex hubby decided he's going. Whilst that doesn't exactly mean I can't go, I can't face seeing him and therefore I can't go. I don't have any other invites so that means I'm home alone with my stitching. I might even finish page 2 tonight, then I'll have to extend my January target again!

Happy new year all you lovely lot. Best wishes for 2011.

p.s. can we do a 'dictionary of' stitch along sometime? I'll let all who are participating finish their cut throughs first.

Yeah, he doesn't live anywhere near me anymore but decided to travel a whole two and a half hours to go to the party that I was going to go to. Grr.

I know he's not doing it just to wind me up but I'm still annoyed. He says he can't possibly come to collect his stuff but he can come to go to a party.

Oh well, I feel better about it knowing I'm not the only person home with my computer and my stitching.

  • Hugs elliep, I'm home alone too because my DH is at work (he works in a pub) but Emily decided to wake Izzy up so I can't even do any stitching because Izzy is being grumpy bless her :(

I would love to do a Dictionary Of stitch along, I have my eye on the cake one and as we had an offer accepted on a new house yesterday I think stitching something for my new house would be nice.
I thought of doing either the cake one or this:

    http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&do=search_results&Prod_Code=60818&ww=1

but as I love them both I will probably do them both at some point!

    Happy New Year everyone
