it seemed rude to leave them there at that price.

It would have been downright bad manners NOT to take them and give them a good home :D

Oh no 23rdspiral and tellmeitsfriday, hope you both feel better soon. Have a dodgy hug or two from me! :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: and one for anyone else who needs one too.

Maria, I hope your Grandad is feeling better also, am thinking of you.

Congrats to every one as always on your fabulous stitching progress, and to mrs-moneypenny on that fabulous bargain!

Louise, I hope you get your stitching mojo back for Touched by Magic soon, I love that one. In fact it's one I've short listed for my first HAED! I think I'm going to need some help deciding so I'll post the short list in the next day or so (when I've got it down to a postable number!) and I can get you thoughts :)

I confess I haven't done much stitching over the weekend myself, have been busy applying for jobs ( finally!) but am hoping to get some done before the weekend.

    stunning work everyone.

did a little bit of the scissor keeper over the weekend but not much. got a bargain at the car boot on sunday a lovely lady was giving up stitching as she didn't have the time so sold me her complete collection of dmc threads haven't counted but there are 100s some are wound onto little cards with their numbers written on and boxed neatly on 2 big plastic storage boxes others are skeins in plastic bags all neatly colour co-ordinated along with some beads, bead needles metallic threads,a magnifying glass and a chart for a pre Raphael (sp) style reclining lady counted chart for £4!!!!!! it seemed rude to leave them there at that price.

OOOOOh fab bargain. Would have been really rude to leave them there at that price . Well done .

So do I - but I've put it away for now and started a small Tinkerbell design for DD. Still not got the mojo for that either - I did 2 strands then put it down.:o I should have most of my paperwork up to date by the end of the week and will get back into stitching then. Flipping end of year stuff all needing done *grumble*

Look forward to seeing your short list (that I'm guessing isn't so short):j - love looking at HAED's (and discovering new ones!) at least you wouldn't need to buy Touched by Magic ;)but don't let that influence your final decision!

    Speaking of HAED's - Where's Keiss 21? Haven't nagged her about her Astronomer for a while.....:D;)

hello everyone, i went back to the dentists this morning and decided on the 200quid more permanent option (is it spaving?!?). and the bonus is that the pain injection for my tooth has stopped that side of ear ache hurting!!! :) and the bigger bonus was that i was an emergency, so was fitted in around other patients, so had plenty of time for some stitching!:j only the Cupcake, but any progress is good isn't it?

And.... i've just been told we've Completed on the house! we can go get the keys!!! :j (but not till 3-3.30 as OH has to work and can't leave any earlier :() . So i really hope things are looking up.

Mrs M - what a bargain! wow! and nice for the lady to know they were going somewhere they'd be appreciated to i reckon.

nmn - it does look like youre making good progress on what is obviously a huge and complicated design! :T

The wedding sampler looks gorgeous already - 23rd

Can't remember who it was that got the amazing carboot bargain - you did so well, I'd love a find like that (mind you - I'm sure we all would!).

I'm having a nightmare this morning. Was going to do update pics and get on with stitching as I'm having an off day but no, that's not happened. Went into the kitchen to find the floor and cupboard under the sink were like paddling pools :-( Have cleared it up 4 times now and finally found where all the water is coming from (hubby is useless at this sort of stuff so my dad talked me through it over the phone!). Luckily it just seems as pipe has slipped and the washer inside has probably crumbled (it's only been in since Sept though so tried to ring the man who installed the kitchen but he's vanished off the face of the earth). Now I know how to fix it i'm going to talk hubby through it later as my dad warned me I'd get wet and messy!!!

I started a new stitiching on Sunday evening - decided to make my mum a glasses case for Mothers Day (I know - very last minute). Want to finish that by tomorrow then I can get back onto the Kingfisher.

Thanks but i'm ashamed to say its not that big, its only 46cm x 19cm the pic is a tall as it gets and is the left half of the design. It is very fiddly though a few stitches of one colour then a few of another, grrrr :rotfl:

Speaking of HAED, i found a "Dreams of Atlantis" chart on a disc i have, it looks very complicated but i would love to do it one day :)
