I keep reading this thread, but don't seem to have the concentration ability to sit and write posts at the moment lol!

23rdspiral- sorry to hear you're having such a rough time. :grouphug: I can't believe nhsdirect were so useless, whenever I've used them they call back within 10 minutes. Hope you're feeling better soon.

tellmeitsfriday- hope you are feeling better soon too

Maria - how is your Grandad now? I hope he's on the mend and you're not tiring yourself out too much with all the visiting.

Soulie - the card is lovely. I meant to make one for my mum but haven't had time.

    Louise- Highland Living looks stunning.

And now I need to rant! I'd forgotten just how mad it is trying to get everything packed up. The house is looking like a bomb site and we've thrown away half of our furniture to save the effort of moving it. Nearly all the kids toys are packed, the van is booked and deposit paid ready for the move, so nearly ready to go. Or at least I thought so..

Now we've had the council electric inspector come round this morning and say loads of things aren't conforming to electric safety :( I'm so cross I want to scream. All the things he's listed were done by the previous tenant who we exchanged with last year, and they passed them all for us to move in!! I told the bloke this and he said it's just your bad luck that I'm thorough and whoever did the electrical check last year wasn't!! If this stops us moving I am going to go crazy

One positive though, I did finish my rocket at the weekend :), but it got packed straightaway so I'll have to take a pic another time (I might have already posted that I'd finished it, but my brain is so frazzled at the moment I can't remember :rotfl:)

~ i've rung them before, when i was coming down with pluresy and when my fiance had heart trouble, and they were brilliant. i guess i got them on a bad day.
~ noooooo!!!!!!! really they can't make it your problem re the electrics can they? i dont know if it'd help but do you have photos of any rooms from when you moved in so show that things look the same? i've got my fingers crossed for you there's no delay or extra cost.
~ congrats on finishing the rocket!! :T we can't wait to see it :T

Some of you might have spotted an item on my poject list called 'Heirloom Quilt' thats for my mum.

Well I have finished buying the different fabrics that I needed so now Ive started the 8 rose panels that will be in cross-stitch.

This is my lunchbreak cross-stitch and this is the progress at the end of last week (2 hours of stitching). It's being done on 32 count Belfast linen: 5568260581_d66ec1bd45.jpg

    stunning work everyone.

did a little bit of the scissor keeper over the weekend but not much. got a bargain at the car boot on sunday a lovely lady was giving up stitching as she didn't have the time so sold me her complete collection of dmc threads haven't counted but there are 100s some are wound onto little cards with their numbers written on and boxed neatly on 2 big plastic storage boxes others are skeins in plastic bags all neatly colour co-ordinated along with some beads, bead needles metallic threads,a magnifying glass and a chart for a pre Raphael (sp) style reclining lady counted chart for £4!!!!!! it seemed rude to leave them there at that price.

Very rude indeed Mrs Moneypenny :rotfl:Of course everyone on this board has impeccable manners and would have done exactly the same as you.

Everyone's work is lovely - the fairies, santa, highland living, wedding sampler .... have I missed anyone out? I am inspired to start a bookmark I want to make for a friend. Maybe I will be brave enough to post a pic when I have finished!
