Thanks for your lovely comments about Santa guys, I'm so pleased with it, really chuffed
Oh and by the way it was missing the dot above the eye in 'pawing' lol
I did look at all the 'i's but I dismissed that one, as it should be covered by the antler, in my opinion. You just need to adopt a frosty voice if anyone asks and say, 'There shouldn't be one there, it's covered by the antler, my dear'0 -
Morning ladies.
Hugs to those who need them :grouphug:
Haven't heard back from Louise yet. I really hope she's ok.
Got Mums Fairies framed for her 60th birthday that's in a couple of weeks. Have had the Fairies finished for about a year, they were waiting patiently in the cupboard for their frames and I only got them recently.
I'm really pleased with the completed look. They are the first projects that were chosen specially for someone.
Pic isn't great but you get the idea,:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Shelly those fairies are beautiful and they've been so well framed - did you do them yourself or get them professionally framed ? Your mum is going to love them.0

Thanks, I hope she loves them too. I think she will as they are her 2 favourite flowers/plants.
I originally wanted frames with an insert border thingy but couldn't get nice ones in the size I needed. I found these frames in Ikea and I'm chuffed with the overall finish.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Thanks!
Framed them myself.....with some trepidation I might add:rotfl:
I just laid the fabric on a clean surface, placed the glass over the top and centered it on the design, marked the corners with my vanishing ink pen, trimmed the aida and voila!:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Morning all!!
Checked my emails this morning and found one from Shelly - thank you for the nudge!! I hadn't even realised it had been a couple of weeks since I had last been on
Been pretty busy, have barely been online tbh, since I upgraded my phone to a Blackberry I have used that to check emails and facebook. Had some time away, and a ton of paperwork to get through. Finished Highland Living just over a week ago and haven't picked up my needle sinceIt's due to be collected from the framer tomorrow, so will post a pic then.
Had a little bit of a windfall this week - just over £2k appeared in the bank on Monday morning - we had a chuckle at the banks 'error', left it alone and expected it to disappear back out again. Then we got paperwork yesterday to say that it was a lump sum of tax credits from 2009/10 as we had been underpaid (Hubby was made redundant twice that year so earnings weren't as high). Happy Days! :j
Got the whole family over on Sat - it's my Grans 80th (Highland Living is for her) and my mum 'kindly' volunteered my house as the venue. :rotfl: Got some cleaning to finish off and going shopping tomorrow for the buffet and decs
Shelly - those fairies are gorgeous!! Well done on framing them yourself - did you stick he fabric down at all or is it just sitting in place itself?
Sk00bie - gad to see you got santa finished, he is lovely :T
