Wow, the fairies are gorgeous - love the colours and the frames suit them perfectly. Think you may have inspired me to frame the kingfisher for mil myself (got some quotes and was shocked that they were all about £40-50.
Have been having a quick catch up now and then with what's happening with you all but did a wedding fayre with my new business last weekend so spent the 2 days before baking and icing about 150 cupcakes.
Anyone who needs hugs, I'm thinking of you.
23rdspiral - crying at work is fine - you just get to the point where something tips you over the edge. I remember when I was trying to come to terms with my illness just over 2 years in (had a 'don't think about it and it will go away' attitude til then!) - I broke down in work eveyday for about 2 weeks running til I got to the point where I had to acknowledge everything and life changed hugely. Sometimes you just need it. This is going to sound really cheeky considering I've never met you but go and chat to your GP, it's amazing how much they can help.
OK, now that I sound more than a bit crazy I'm going to see if I can get my pic to upload so I can give you an update on Kingfisher. I used to just put the memory card in a slot on the printer but it broke last week and the new one doesn't have that facility.Cross Stitch Cafe 2011 - no 58 :A

Thank you all for the lovely comments about the fairies!Shelly - those fairies are gorgeous!! Well done on framing them yourself - did you stick he fabric down at all or is it just sitting in place itself?
Glad you are ok Louise, hope the email didn't weird you out
No sticking involved. Once I had trimmed the fabric to fit I laid it on the glass, put the back in and that's it.Wow, the fairies are gorgeous - love the colours and the frames suit them perfectly. It really was as easy as I said in my post #2369. Though I had to check and double check I was happy with the placement because I wasn't using a border insert thingy so once it was cut it was cut and I had no margin for error.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. Some wonderful stitching on here! Makes me ashamed that I haven't stitching in about a month (no energy)
23rd Spiral - when you DO get to see HR, ask nicely if they are letting you have another days annual leave as they called you in on an annual leave day FOR NO REASON :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

I'm having cupcakes at my wedding (in 8 weeks )
One of the girls in the office runs a little business on the side and her cakes are delicious.
Only have 19 guests and us so have a cupcake stand that holds 23 cakes. She's also getting me the little boxes for people to take them home in.
Sorry, that was a little off topic. Back on topic I picked the wedding sampler up from the framers yesterday so will post pic when I get a chance.
Crockery sampler is coming on slowly, but I'm really enjoying it so don't mind that progress is slow :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Married 19th May 2011 to the love of my lifeCross Stitch Cafe Member Number 44CSC Challenge - to complete LEGS by end of December

I had a pile of cupcakes as the bottom tier at my wedding (all free from M&S - long story) - they were SO popular, there was none left to go in any boxes at the end :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Got Mums Fairies framed for her 60th birthday that's in a couple of weeks. Have had the Fairies finished for about a year, they were waiting patiently in the cupboard for their frames and I only got them recently.
I'm really pleased with the completed look. They are the first projects that were chosen specially for someone.
Pic isn't great but you get the idea,
Ohhhh, they are great! I love them.
Been a flower fairies fan for years now.

I have never ever been anywhere and met so many friendly and welcoming people as i have on here. We have never ever met but it's like greeting family everytime i switch the lappy on.
I'm old enough to be the mother of most of you but age means nothing on here we are all made to feel equal. I don't say much about myself but i'm mostly housebound now and it's lovely to hear how you are all doing good and bad . When you all go away it's lovely to hear about where you've all been . I sound a right nutter now.
23rd spiral so sorry to hear your move has been put back yet again . Having you go into work then them not turning up is unforgivable. I'd have been upset too. I really hope you get some much needed good news soon.
Skoobie santa is really fab.sc00bie - i love the santa! Is the missing french knot near the bottom leaf on the left in the close-up? That's the only place i can see where it might be and i have ocd!
23rd - crying in the toilets is fine! I agree with sweetcarer about the people in here. When i had breast cancer in 2006, in between my initial trip to the doctor, through numerous tests and ops to finally having the big op and then being told they'd all got it, everyone thought i was fine, but i was sometimes crying in the toilets and in bed too. I wish i'd known everyone on here then as well.
Marru - i like the second one best as a picture but i think the first one is much more apt.
Sweetcarer - of course you're worth it! Don't be saying that you're not, as we all know betterruth_honey wrote: »santa is gorgeous! I couldn't spot the missing french knot, so i think you're ok. Love the cards too-very sweet.
Awww, honey. Sending you hugs. Crying and telling us will help, so you go ahead. Everyone has limits and it sounds like hr not turning up just tipped you over yours.
Are you the anti-l'oreal advert?seriously, i don't want to hear/read that kind of thing again! (stern look!) everyone on here is special and wonderful and the bond we all have is very unique and amazing. And we're all to thank for that because we all make the cafe what it is. So there....:p!
thank you all - you are all amazing:j cross stitch forever, housework whenever :j0 -
Hi all haven't had chance to post for a while. In fact have just realised that I've been so busy I haven't done any stitching since the weekend. Have been out at meetings etc every evening this week and out at another at 8 tonight. Hopefully will get chance to do some stitching at the weekend.
I'm off to the Craft & Hobby show at the NEC tomorrow. If anyone is going to be there and fell they would like to meet for a chat PM me before 8am tomorrow. Sorry about short notice my friend has just confirmed she has the tickets.
Some lovely makes during the last week or two - especially like Santa and the fairies.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

Just been looking at all the lovely stitching and reading back a few pages. Everyone is doing loads of stitching and it all looks fab - am hanging on in there waiting for Friday night and stitchy Saturday.
Am trying to be good and do all my teacher & deputy head work, and not spend too much time watching tv or dweebing on internet, so hopefully I can have some decent blocks of stitching time. Unfortunately the boss is useless and school hasn't done so well recently (before I started) so I am now having to wade through loads of..... in order to save his backside and the schools:mad: But apart from that life is grand and have spare hugs for anyone who needs them xxMortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Morning ladies.
Just a quick question for those of you that wash and iron your designs.....When you iron them how do you do so?
I'm assuming low heat throught a tea towel and on the reverse side?
I really don't want the stitches to be flattened:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0
