I have got much more done than I realised this week. I was quite surprised when I unrolled it to take the pic! I think it will be done this week, just depends how long I take faffing about with the names and date. I have charted them already, just need to work out their placement.

    Hi Girls

Not forgotten you all have been watching you all and keeping up with all the happenings.

Ruth - I hope your hubby is ok - usually the shock of it all afterwards is worse than the actual incident - I use to cycle in Glasgow years ago then I nearly got crushed by a double decker and I gave up - still wary about going on a bike now - though I know it would do me good.

Flat Eric - thinking of your predicament of what to do for anniversery stitch - why not adapt an existing design. I done this one for my parents 40th - it is originally a wedding one I altered

    104_0609.jpg

Or even altering this design to suit for my parents in law 50th wedding anniversery.

Things here are soso. I am !!!!ed off with hubby. The citizens advice are open late on a Monday and I was hoping tonight we could go and get a benefit check and see why he isn't getting unemployment benefit and see what else they can do to help but he is still in his bed - he didn't go to bed till after noon. He is still not going to bed at night - I am trying to subltly hint to him he needs to get into a routine and try to get to bed - I know he is used to night shift but he has been out of a job now nearly a month.

To top it all today the gas and electric bill came in - nearly £300. I burst out crying when speaking to my mum earlier and she said they can pay some of it but not all.

I am trying so hard to keep it all together but he isn't listening to me. Things are a wee bit easier at work as I am helping out in another department, where everyone is a bit more friendlier but I am back to my own dept by end of week.

I have just made a nice dinner ready for getting up - probably about 7. It is a wee celebration as our wee Sam (our kitten/cat) is a year old today. I bought her a wee box of treats to have a couple later. It is also my best friends birthday on Sunday - I could only afford some home made banna cakes and a card (a wee cross stitch one) - hope she doesn't mind me being so cheap.

My latest edition of cross sticher came today - will read it - but I am half tempted to give it up - even tho I have been a subscriber since issue one - I don't want to as my late hubby took out the subscription for me as a gift and I never stopped it but its just I am not that intrested in it - nothing is grabbing me lately.

Need to find a cross stitch to do - maybe that will help my sanity levels.

Kind wishes where ever you are

    sweetcarer ;)

    PS sorry for long post.

Thank you for the ideas. I found a small card design to stitch so I will hopefully start that this weekend!

how exciting. Im not really sure when my cat's birthday is ?? and I have to sit and think how old he is :D but bless him when I go up to bed, he always follows me even if he is having a nice snooze because he knows he gets a treat or two - mind you treat munched and off he trots back downstairs ! the cheek of it !

Oh Im glad you posted that - I haven't had mine yet and I was wondering if anyone else on here had received their copy ? I was suffering the Monday morning blues this morning so stopped in Smiths on my way to work and bought Cross Stitch Crazy, Cross Stitch Collection and the animal special mag with free thread, aida and cards :j

I hope Cross Stitcher comes in the post tomorrow. I think World of Cross Stitch is my favourite mag now as that seems to be purely cross stitch but I do have a fondness for Cross Stitcher so will continue with the subscription for the moment....

Need to find a cross stitch to do - maybe that will help my sanity levels.

I got my issue of Cross Stitcher in the post today and it seems a bit pants, to be honest. Admittedly, I've only looked at the contents page so far, but nothing on there seems to grab me. I've only just been bought a subscription though, so I'll have to stick it out. I also suspect that when I do stop subscribing, I'll spot it at the shop and see something in it every month...
  • If you want to - you can change Cross Stitcher to Cross Stitch collection for no charge...

I was thinking of doing that - well changing my subscription that I bought with my tesco vouchers for Simply Knitting to Cross Stitch Collection but as it was a tesco clubcards deal thing, I'm not sure if I can (it offered me the option to do so but I was scared to proceed in case the tesco / mag police ) came after me :rotfl:! and also the whole point of getting the subscription to the knitting mag with the tesco vouchers was to give me a taste for the magazine but without the hassle of the subscription renewing itself yearly

do any of you subscribe to cross stitch crazy ? I am thinking of taking out a subscription but can't decide....
