    Quick update off topic again...sorry...

Hubby finally returned home this morning, full of sorrys but I haven't really spoken to him yet, he's in bed sleeping off 4 days of alcohol...

Had to go to hospital last night as I was in pain and then back again this morning. They are testing me for HELLP Syndrome...which is a version of preeclampsia, won't get blood results back until tomorrow so have been told to rest and do nothing, which I fully intend to do...hubby has a lot of making up to do anyway...lol

Will try and get a pic up later of Mr Men sampler, it is coming on so well and so quickly too..xx

I now have my craft room ! My smallest room which resembled a complete tip a week ago is now 90% tidy with everything in its new home :j

I still have a bit of sorting to do but I can't face anymore today so going to do not very much this evening ! I don't know if I can even be bothered to cook my tea !

I don't know if any of you sell your unwanted cross stitch supplies on ebay ? I buy (cross stitch stuff) from ebay but I think its more hassle than its worth? to actually sell stuff. When I sold a few bits before, I got scammed on a chart booklet :( - the buyer indicated she hadn't received it and Miss Gullible me immediately refunded her only to find out that she had in fact received it. I was quite crafty to be honest - I set up a search for the item with her postcode and noted when it came back on sale (Which it did). she had changed her username by that time but I still reported her - i don't think anything came of it but I felt pleased I had done it. Anyway, I'm going way off topic.
What I want to say is that if you are a fan of All our Yesterdays, I have the 2006 Zodiac Year diary that was given free with World of Cross Stitch.

I am not going to make use of this so if anyone would like this then please pm me your address. first come first served !

Oh Chicky, that was a reading at my wedding last year - any chance of a ;) - might do it for my other half as a 1st anniversary pressie.

Feel too fat to stitch (or do much tonight) after pancakes. Have discovered a few good cominations other than my usual cheese & tomato sauce so if you've not already had yours I can recommend that, cajun chicken & cheese or chocolate buttons and (a tiny bit of) golden syrup! xx

i shall sort out a ;) for you. Soulie i'll have it available then if u do want a ;).

eughhhhhh.... even in my pregnant state they do not sound appeaing (sorry). i am a traditional juice and sugar girl.

ohhhhh i hope you turned the tv up VERY loud. that sounds nasty - hate the waiting round for bloods. hope you get on ok.

I went to see the consultant at my mat hospital today to tell her to sort this itching out before i top myself and was basically met with a "don't care, stop wasting my time" attitude. I was FUMING....hubby was FUMING... my midwife was FUMING. went into work and broke down in tears (having already done this 4 times in my 2 and a half hour wait at mat hospital) telling them i really couldn't cope any more.
rang my midwife ASAP who told me I had every right to be signed off (I had asked the consultant who didn't even acknowledge my request - infct i'm not entirly sure she listened to a word I said) I went straght to walk in centre - had another 2 hour wait.... shew the dr my arm and said "midwife said to ask you for a sicknote"..... didn't have to say anymore he signed me off right up until my leave starts.

So :j:j stitching leave starts today.... and my official letter of complaint against the consultant will be written tomorrow.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Dream Cream from Lush might help with the itching. If you ask the sales assistant nicely, they should give you a sample to try. It's not cheap but I've heard it works wonders....
    Enjoy your stitching leave!

Thanks Chicky! Ruth_honey is right - Lush dream cream is really good.

Caroline - glad he's back. He should be waiting on you hand and foot now (though I have to say I'd be making him sleep it off in the shed!).

...I won another comp today out of the same Cross Stitch Gold as before! ....3 Mouseloft minikits were on my doorstep when i returned from having my bloods done this morning.

Sorry, still no update pic - hubby was called out last night so he arrived home at lunchtime (gets a half day off if he's called to go out after 2am). Just had a TV watching afternoon - not allowed to stitch and watch, thinks I can't concentrate!

Anyway, football is on very soon so I'll catch up with you tomorrow xx

Caroline please take care i had preeclampsia when i was having my twins 19 years ago and it felt very scary. I ended up in hospital for most of the last 2 months then they could monitor me. On the plus side lots of stitching time.

I'm happy for you that your o/h has finally turned up and you can stop worrying.

Chicky i'm pleased for you that your stitching leave has started. Hope you get the horrid itching sorted.

Argh, I just realised, I am doing it again!
I frequent a few forums, and it seems like in every post I am talking about him, and I really hope I am not boring anyone when I mention him amongst my cross stitchy posts, so I apologise in advance, in time I will get better!

hey, dont say that. it's nice to hear about your brother. there arent any cross stitch police here i'm sure. it's fine so dont apologise, please.

I think it was wen-tom, as she did some stuff for me, and I said I would sort out any disney stuff that I had for her, which I still haven't gotten around to, sorry wen-tom!! It is still on my 'to do list', and I will get to it soon, I promise!

Thanks Soulie, she PMed me today.

I've just had my pancakes, forgot it was pancake day yesterday until we'd taken some things out of the freezer for tea tonight. I have mine with either lemon and sugar or chocolate spread and squirty cream. Yum yum yum!

On another non-stitching note, the jewellers rang today and said that they didn't actually have my size ring in another shop and because of the design of the ring, it can't be resized from a larger size, so they have to make it, which will take up to 5 weeks :(
  • 23rd, I have finally got my scanner set up on this pc, I will email you later ;)

Haven't done anything today as yet because I have been asleep most of the day :o But also i am waiting a response on the seller of my latest kit. When I opened it yesterday I noticed a strong floral odour but didn't really think anything of it. Well I opened it again today to start and there is a nice oil patch at the top of one of the main pages. As everything (skeins/adia) has been packged together everything now smells and I am worried it may have an effect on the life of the finished design. So it looks like I won't be starting that for another week

Determind to finish the chicks today and may even do another mini one until this is sorted :D
