Yippee....my Mr Men kit came this morning so I will be starting that later. I finished the Liverpool badge and will get a pic up later. Got out this morning and collected car seat...£69 down to £39 and Mum and Dad gave us £20 towards it...
Also got charts sorted and will get them in the post later on...xx;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -

I've abandonned my windmill because of the emergency baby pressie I am making (Old McDonald). I am finding they are sooooo slippery, and leave one thread loops over the place - have to tug at them to straighten it ..... It's annoying me!
Can't say I've had a problem with it, they're not as good as DMC threads, but I've been ok with them. It's just the silly supertwist that I struggle with from my Bothy threads.
chickywiggle- that's looking good! Why do my pictures never come up big and detailed like that, no doubt I always do something wrong??
sounds like a good bargain caroline!0 -
Finished Liverpool badge...Had to mess about a bit with the lettering as I didn't think one colour would look right...too much green and red to use them, and the yellow didn't really stand out much alone....

Ummm...that's my progress, not Chickywiggle's.:o
I didn't mean for the pic to be *quite* so big. I leave the file size really big (always take photos on the best quality my camera will take) when I upload as I think with cross stitch, you need to see the detail.Cross Stitch Cafe Monthly Challenge Member #27

Oops, sorry
I looked at the picture, then clicked on to the next page and replied with a quote from tellmeitsfriday's post, so I copied the name she'd put. That'll teach me not to be so lazy, I really must double check before I post!!
It's still very good though
and I'm sure chickywiggle's will be too when she posts some :rotfl: 0 -

:rotfl: Thanks! And I noticed you amended your OP too.
I bet Chicky's looks fab too. Looking forward to seeing a pic of it.

SIL is getting married in august and I would like to stitch something for them. Thought this was nice and simple as she doesn't like fussy things.

Sorry no, but it's lovely. I've just had a quick look on EBay in case someone is selling the chart but nothing.
Good luck in tracking it down a bit cheaper.0 -

I've done loads of 'handprints - grandparents touch a heart' - very proud of myself (pic later). Did anyone else who did this (Maria???) find you were reallly tight with some of the threads- literally got the last stitch in before it ran out?
i did it yeah, didnt have the kit though i dont think i think someone nudged me the chart, i hate it when there arnt enough threads, but then i dont like it when there are loads extra because they just sit there doing nothing lol, no pleasing me sometimes :rotfl::rotfl:13 in 2013 challenge 9/130
