and this is the Liverpool badge which I picked up again last night. It was very nearly done just the green scrolling bit at the top to do so shouldn't take long...

Wonderful stitching everyone.
My shoulder has at last seemd to have eased up quite a bit, so perhaps I will get back to stitching in the next day or so!
A visitng friend was admiring my Elegant Lady today, so perhaps I will get a move on and finish her soon (well in a couple of months time:o!! I tend to have one (or two) larger pieces on the go, but then sneak others in, as and when they are needed as presents. Must draw up a timetabe for all that I would like to do this year...sometime:D. I like to have a few small ones ready to go if I have a trip away from home and will have plenty of time to stitch.
Off to bed now...shattered.

OH says lets move, lets get finically sorted first, lets get a dog first... all this waiting makes me so scared if we were to have trouble we're loosing time and chances. 2 close friends had miscarriages but got pregnant succesfully soon after so our focus has been on the 'successes'. I guess hearing your tales is the reality of it all, the bit we dont usually talk about. Thank you all for sharing. xxx
You do have to do whatever is best for you as a couple, and I'm all for being prepared, financially etc......but it's much more strange (imo) for someone to put getting a dog before having a child lolIs OH more than a little nervous at the thought of fatherhood?

Well Dragon, you seem to have stitched the word Durham ...anything else, I can't quite see...looking great though!!

Yep Dr Dragon had trouble spotting the differences as well and he is normally very good :rotfl:, the differences are the word Durham appeared (as Keiss so rightly points out), I finished the back stitching on the Coat of Arms and I did a few more tree trunks :rotfl: and that little lot took me three hours
Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

well done on passing to Apocosaver,
did the "wher" of where last might would probally have finished the word if i had been paying more attention and not put the "r" on the end of the word "the" on the line below first time and had to unpick it.
in theory im a one thig at a time person but i keep finding lots of things that ive started and abandoned, i found a birth sampler and cant even remember who i started it for. my other vice is doing the stitching part then putting the project aside with the intention of finishing it. ive had a pair of cheetahs i did in tapestry years ago and never framed, the whale for my dad needs framing, and then theres the stack of little projects like pin cushions and cards that need finishing. no wonder everywhere looks so cluttered here.
The other thing is i run out of time, im really enjoying stitching at the mo so am always doing that but in a month or so ill start to gfeel guilty that i havent knitted for a while and have a huge stash of wool so ill start doing that again and my stitching will fall by the wayside.
hugs and kind thoughts to allSPC~12 ot 124

Thanks everyone, I am now trying to persuade my hubby to put me on his car insurance so I can actually drive. But he doesn't want to in case I crash it! Nice to see how much faith he has in me :rotfl:
23rdspiral- It must be so hard having to wait, everyone's sad stories on here have made me realise I'm certainly not alone in having problems. I don't think men think about the waste of years though, they can keep going forever, so time isn't so critical for them. Perhaps you should suggest getting a dog AFTER you have a baby so it can be a proper family petI'm sure you'll be fine though and at least you'll have a lovely house to bring up a family when you do start! Has the move gone ahead yet?
Keiss- great that your shoulder is a lot better, I'd go mad if I couldn't stitch for ages!
caroline - love the stocking
mrs-moneypenny - I always mean to do some other crafts as well, but stitching gets first preference for me as I like it best, and I'm a lot better at itMy scrapbooking and knitting sits there looking at me, but I always end up with sewing needle in hand instead!

Thanks to all the girls in the Cross Stitch Cafe! You're all fantastic! :A0 -
Good projects... ohh 23rdspiral I defo think it should be baby then dog.... as it'll be easier for a baby to adjust to a dog in the house then the other way round.
I've done loads of 'handprints - grandparents touch a heart' - very proud of myself (pic later). Did anyone else who did this (Maria???) find you were reallly tight with some of the threads- literally got the last stitch in before it ran out?loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
Does anyone else find the threads in Bothy kits really slippery?
I've abandonned my windmill because of the emergency baby pressie I am making (Old McDonald). I am finding they are sooooo slippery, and leave one thread loops over the place - have to tug at them to straighten it ..... It's annoying me!
RUTH!!!!!! - the palace is lovely(Yes it did say Chicky, but that's because I am stupid!)
