I don't have a scanner at home but I do at work.. I'm back at work next Tuesday when sick note runs out so I shall set myself a reminder !

    Thank you hon - you're a star :T

They will keep you busy for AGES.
(Don't bother with a moses basket stand-it can go on the floor on a bed/chair! £25 saved! :D)

I stitched intials onto them one year for Christmas presents and they were okay...to be honest I am not sure if they would hold a full design without sagging, but for 90p you could maybe order one and see.

re the sagging - you could always use single sided iron on interfacing on the reverse side once you've finished stitching? either medium weight or cover the whole of that side of the bag with heavy to help it stand straight with out sagging at all anywhere.

i think that's a brilliant idea instead of an easter egg! :T once you've got them, do you think you could share the link please?
:EasterBunafterall easter eggs only last that long and what you stitch could last forever!!

-- do you think it'd be good for me to get, i only have a few random DMC / Anchor that relatives have given me... most of my threads are random from market or from the 99p store bags,,, it might help me to do 'propper' colours.... but is anchor as good for that as DMC?
Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. Frugal Living Challenger. No buying cleaning products. I used MSE advice to reduce my car insurance from 550 to 325!! & paid it off in full!!!
  • i can share the link.... tis an ongoing offer - you'll see what i mean...

    http://shop.ebay.co.uk/bargain-crafts/m.html?_nkw=anchor&_sacat=0&_odkw=&_osacat=0&_trksid=p3911.c0.m270.l1313

they are on as biddable but i've watched 2 or 3 of the 215 skein ones so far and they've gone unsold.

I have always used DMC threads but cannot see such ebay bargains as the anchor ones above.

Are the skeins the same length. Any reason to choose one over the other as I've nothing to compare my DMC ones with but would appreciate any opinions.
    Thanks

I use DMC over Anchor because I bought some of my stash in America & it only seems to be DMC out there. I have Anchor threads in some kits and it's good quality. I found with Madeira threads that the black seems to leave residue a bit more than other brands. And the threads in the Bothy Threads kits seem to go very thin towards the end of the length. Grrr!

I finally received the snow white & peter pan charts :j

I have a new scanner and they have started to 'fall in'! well I had to make sure the scanner was working didn't i?

For people who have requested them they should be over to you by email tomorrow. I think I have remembered to PM everyone.

If anyone has any small disney charts I would love a ;). I'm hoping to stitch some onto some bags for friends.
